quote notification instead of PM?

it's getting a bit tedious going through the long process of looking at a PM when you get quoted, i feel it would be a lot simpler & quicker to just have a notification at the top of the screen saying who's quoted you and a link to see it (a lot like the PM but without half the thread.....)

Yea this was mentioned before and again, I think this would be a much better idea :D. I think it was being looked in to, I'll try find the thread to see what the response was :).

Implementing a system like that would be nice and if I have a few free days in the Summer I'll do that but right now there's other things that need working on first.

In the meantime though, I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can disable PMs from who quoted you from this (http://www.habboxforum.com/profile.php?do=editoptions) page, search for "Receive PMs when another user quotes you:".

So David did like the idea then but obviously it wasn't a high priority task and so unfortunately hasn't been done yet, but hopefully it'll still be able to be done :D.

You get the notifications in your user CP. just check it every once in a while?

There is an option in the general setting where you can switch this off. If its not there then its in the profile setting, if u still cant find it keep looking, it's there!

it's in your usercp regardless of whether you have PM notifications or not

You get a notifcation when you get a visitor message on your screen which won't go away until you view it.

what i mean when i want a message at the top is that it notifies me when someone has quoted me, along with a link to that thread, and once i've clicked that link the message disappears

I think it'd be best if it linked to your userCP.

Not needed - just turn the feature off completely imo.

I personally don't think it harms users much :P I would only want notifications if we could turn those off too :P

And yeah I mean is (obviously lol). Also imo is just the fastest way of typing "in my opinion" or any other term along those lines :P
