I was gonna buy that one, but for like, 200 quid more. That's a good deal on a Which? recommended laptop, just fyi :)

The HP too is a decent laptop for the money, and just IMO cheap acer's aren't the best around, but that might just be me :P

I can't even deal with any laptop without ma logitech wireless mouse <3 But yeah, when I got my new laptop, I literally read every single review on the internet just to make sure it wasn't going to backfire within a year like my old one did!

Im sure i have a mousepad add on somewere which is just plug and use from usb, so the mousepad aint such an issue :P
But i probably will get a mouse, and a wireless one seems a good idea, how much was yours and do you have a link? :)

Yeah the logitech ones are (from what I know anyway) the best on the market for portable wireless mice, and their new-ish range have micro USB's which are like half a centimetre long, so it's pretty impossible to break them. I have an M305... will jsut find a liiiinkkkk

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/logitech-m305-wireless-mouse-03357560-pdt.html

It's really useful cos it's quite small but very ergonomic, and like I said the little USB is a god send <3

i paid like 20 dollars (15 quid at the time) for mine so count yaself lucky ;ll). TBH, you could probably find them on ebay or somewhere for a little cheaper, but seeing as your laptop was in PC world too.. :P

Just wanted to get this out there;

You don't need to give a reason for "only" spending three hundred pounds (well your parents spending that). £300 is a lot of money for a birthday.

Not my parents...but grandparents >:]
By turning 16 im able to open account which has money saved up from one of my grandparents, so its not a birthday present.

If you were mistaken, then you can get the entire set of products at software4students (legally), for a tiny £37.89

http://www.software4students.co.uk/Microsoft_Office_2010_Professional_Plus-details.aspx - really cheap.

Of course you could do it illegally, but £37.89 is not much to spend on such a great set of products :)
