Mine is probably my flute which I got off my mum and dad for my birthday two years ago (a) It cost I think around £200/£300 which is quite cheap for a musical instrument!

So what is the most expensive gift/present you have ever received?

I'd say my MacBook, or my old computer. Mum gave me £2000 from her inheritance from my Grandad for me to spend as I wanted.

aaand this is it as of about 2 seconds ago (god it needs a good clean)

My nan bought it for my 17th, last year, it's worth about £3000, second hand... but it's a vintage (50 years old), professional solid silver flute (which means nothing to a lot of you) but it sounds amazingg and is worth that amount of money ;l

I like a girl who knows how to handle some solid wood/flute.

Erh, probably a computer when i was eight. I know it was discounted greatly since my dad was staff but it was still like 800 quid. longest any computer has lasted, like... six years? then he got myself and my brother one each.

an actual present and not christmas was a £300 jacket.

Probably my PS3

Generally don't ask for expensive gifts, and I know if I do my parents will tell me to "work for the money to get it myself, like they have done all their lives" - which I totally respect.

Two of my old friends got matching brand new cars for their birthdays - twins too so same day. Shame they are such *****.

Erm a computer my mum bought me when I was about 11 or 12, cost £500 from tesco lol. Hp Pavillion with accesories, printer etc so it wasn't too bad.

Next expensive thing was my Xbox 250gb slimline. My mum has an expensive catalogue a bit like littlewoods where you pay like 5 years later so it's cost like £400 in total due to extra charges etc.

So many spoilt people on the forum. I never had all these laptops, computers, iPhones, cars and things when I was 16-17. The most expensive thing someone has bought me was bring me up until i was 16. My parents couldnt afford flashy gadgets or a decent car but every day they bought food and put it on the table. Although these days I do have all the flashy things, I have a car, a laptop, iPhone and my own flat but I've worked for every single part of it and have never lived off of my parents money.

Probs my computer, £600-£700ish. But, to an extent, my dad took 2 weeks off work unpaid during my hospital period which would have probably "cost" him a lot more then that.

It's not the most expensive gift I've ever received (I don't like to shout about the most expensive one for obvious reasons) but I'd say the PC I got for Christmas a few years ago was one of the dearest. It's my sisters' now however, and I have my own laptop.
