If choosing a partner how much older / younger would you go / find attractive?

I find that men seem to go younger and women seem to go for older usually!

Apologies if this questions already been asked to, I can never be arsed to dig around!

I'm definitely far more attracted to men older than me but I know not all my friends are like that. I wouldn't go younger if they went to my school but if they were in a different school and had their birthday in the same year as me (1994) then I wouldn't mind.

i don't really see the point in having specific types but i usually go for aged 20-28
as long as they ACT IT, i've met more mature 18 year olds than 25 year olds
i'm 18 btw n have almost always went for guys my age or older

I do tend to find it weird when you see an older girl with a younger guy when they're in their teens! But my friend is currently in relationship (he's 19 she's 20, possibly born the same year) but they have an age gap of 1 year I believe, but when I see them together I find it totally natural and normal because they do appreciate each other!

Another thing i've always found slightly weird when seeing in relationships is a girl who is (not slightly) but having quite the height on their boyfriend, it's just not something you tend to find but sometimes crosses your path. Possibly just me but I just never can grasp onto the idea haha.

When growing up I always thought it had to be someone your age etc, but when I grew up I found that 2 years younger / 1 year older seemed acceptable!

But I'll probably find when getting older that the age gaps get bigger as you can often see late 20 year old men with young 20 year old women

Inseriousity.

I normally think 10 years either way is a good indicator for me. Or it will be when I get older because I'm 19 now and I obviously wouldn't date a 9 year old but if I was 40 dating a 30 year old, it doesn't sound too bad that way :P

Right now it would be around 1-2 years because I'm 16, but when I'm older, say 24+ it would be around 5 years. I think it's better for me when I'm older because obviously I'm not looking to seriously settle down right this minute, and I think when I'm 24 I'll be more mature than I am now :)

Yeah, right now I'd say max 2 years either way... but I tend to base it on maturity levels rather than physical age.

Well the difference between me and my girlfriend is 2 and a half years, and I'd say that's probably as low as I'd go, I think the max higher I'd go is 1 year, if that, because the girl being older is a bit weird

Knew I'd find you somewhere with a comment like that in here lol.

I'm 20, I'd generally go 2 years either way, but someone who's mature and is turning 18, wouldn't put me off.

Preferably the same age, but +/-6 yearsish is good.

This really! :D I think three years wouldn't hurt because like if there is a strong connection and the feeling of love really is there and you can imagine growing old with said person then I don't think the boundaries would have to be as strict and things could work out just fine and yeah it really depends on the situation and stuff. Some people act way different from their actual age also.

All my friends go for older people around 25/26 but I don't really get the appeal. 2 years either way is about as far as I would stretch.

Older men. Not more than 10 years sounds perfect to me.

You'd date a 12 year old??!! :/

For me it's minimum age 15/16 and maximum age 19/20 (i'm 17, soon 18).

I have my limits, though if I find someone attractive (younger or older) I would get with them.

This may surprise some but, I'm 22 and go with a 35 year old. She gets carded more than I do :s the age has never been an issue for both of us.

i don't think i could ever go out with someone younger than me, i just don't find people around my age attractive. in general they want to act like kids and are at uni and such, which isn't what i'm looking for in a partner.
my boyfriend's 8 years older than me and that suits me perfectly, though the oldest i'd go is 35 (i'm 19)

Not sure about older. 2 years younger, but the older I get the more that would increase.

few months ago i was going out with someone 2 years and 2 days younger than me (17 to 15) and 2 years is kinda considered the norm, but it was still a bit weird... especially considering the law concerning under 16s and over 16s... but we liked eachother so it didn't really matter
i would recommend that 1 year should be the most until you're over 18

I'm 15, I don't think I'd go out with anyone younger than me and the oldest I'd go is 17.

It's weird, I remember when I was about 12 or 13 if one of us went out with a 15 or 16 year old it was pervy apparently..

But let's say you're 30 and dating a 34 year old.. it's not weird, it's strange!

Although dating wise, I'd go about a year or two younger or 1-4 years older.
