I have recently ordered one, I was wondering if anyone else has one, are they good. I have the 500GB Model.

I've heard good and bad things about them but then again, I heard the same for the Virgin Media Superhub and then had no issues with it myself. Maybe you should let us know? :P

I will let you know then :P, Virgin are coming to install it on 2nd October, we currently have 5 VHD boxes in our house and they said that the TiVo box takes up as much signal as 2 boxes, so a total of 7 now :o

We were considering getting one, the features are amazing, but the lack of channels from which me and my mum view discerned me from getting one. But they do look very good.

Why do they have less channels than a normal Virgin Media box? Or do you mean something different.

We're currently with sky, was contemplating getting the internet, phone and tv from virgin as it's better. Orange screwed us with a contract we didn't agree to and wont let us cancel till may.

Ah I get what you mean now. I'm not sure how much channel difference there is between Virgin and Sky apart from the odd couple.

Did you have to pay that stupid activation fee / installation fee blah blah.

I've had one for about 3 months. I personally find it terrible to use compared to the V+ HD box upstairs. If you don't use it to record a crapload of programs, then you'd be wasting your money and you will be fine with the V+ HD.

Activation was £50 and Installation was £50, but we managed to get that wiped off as we threatened to leave if they didn't :P

Overall though I think the Sky HD box is the best I've used.

I considered getting one but since I'm only on the M+ package for TV it doesn't really seem worth it. If I ever upgrade the TV package, I'll consider it.

My dads friend got one a while ago and he said that it is so long winded and absolutely terrible. He got a free trial and said once it's over is going back to the old one.

I only ordered the TiVo box, due to it being free installation as I am on the TV XL package with HD etc already, and the prices for the Virgin + HD box was the same as the TiVo 500GB, so thought, more GB for my money :o
