I was reading the "Sex before marriage" thread, and this made me think, what age are people sure of their sexuality?

At my age (15) , you can't be too sure of your sexuality, so I've started to wonder - at what age are you sure of your sexuality? In my opinion, I would say by the time you're 18 you should know what sexuality you belong to. But I'm not that sure.

So I was wondering what age did you find out your sexuality (if you're 100% sure) or what age do you think people find out.

Note: I know some people go through a stage as an adult, when they become unsure of their sexuality -so I shouldn't really say 100% sure.

my younger brother is only 13 and he says he's bisexual
i don't want to judge him or anything but i do think he might be a bit too young to know
but then i guess if you're having those feelings at a young age, i can't see how they'd go away?

I was sure i was gay when i was 16 but before then i had a pretty good idea.

Now i'm ultra ultra sure (im 18)

I've "known" I was bi for like 7 years, but there is still some confusion because my attraction to females does outweigh the attraction to males, although that may just be because of the specifics of what I look for in a partner

i think generally you always know deep down, when i was 14 i said i was 'bi' but i think deep down i knew i wouldn't/couldn't be with another woman.

I knew that I am bi when I was like 16. But, confusion always happen. So, 20+ is the optimum age.

I've been confused about my sexuality since I was 11, even still (19 y.o)having some kind of doubts I do believe myself to be asexual. It's hard to pinpoint it but, these days I believe sexuality and gender are fading and we are all just people, and honestly, love should not be blind by gender.

^ yeah i'm 18 and i still don't really know. i don't really believe in sexuality as such and you shouldn't decide/come out until you really know. ever noticed most bisexual guys turn out gay and bisexual girls turn out straight haha.

eh i'm not sexually attracted to anyone at all (unless i'm drunk then i'm anyone's) but can tell if a guy/girl is hot, i don't label myself as bisexual or asexual and when anyone asks me i just tell them "i like whoever i like and that's it". sorta figured i liked girls when i was about 13 but thought it was more of a "i want a sister" type thingyyy. i used to get so jealous of people stealing my girl friends or that they'd only come to mine for my brother:( thinking back to when i was even younger, prob bout 8, i preferred girls to guys n never really fancied guys at all. mmmm i most likely won't end up with a girl and do prefer guys for a relationship so i try not to get in to relationships with girls.. lifestory

I'd say everyone different.
I knew I was Bi since I was in year 9, the last year or two I have only really came to accepting, from year 9 til around 11, I weren't really thinking about it, wouldn't open up as much about being bi, but the last year at college I've slowly began to tell people etc.

With me, it was a strange one. I recall all the way through my life I wasn't hanging around with the boys. I didn't want to play with Action Man and footballs it was always Barbie dolls and kiss-chase. (I'm male by the way).

Throughout my life I've always naturally been a very feminine male, and I've always accepted that as me. I recall when I was younger even considering if I was born as the wrong gender (the idea didn't stick for long).

It wasn't until I was about eleven that I started looking into homosexuality, by the obvious uses that lads do when they're in puberty. This was continued when I was about fourteen and (unfortunately) had my first sexual contact with a male, and from that moment I've always been sure. Yes, I've engaged in sex with a female since, but it's just not the same.

I'm now seventeen, and I've had multiple homosexual experiences from the age of fourteen. I've been with a guy for just over a year now, and I'm fully committed to him. I met him when I was sixteen and, while I know that I'm definitely homosexual now, and quite open about it, for ages beforehand I always questioned what I was.

For me, I think the answer to this is: You don't know your sexuality until you get into a serious relationship. I know a woman could never mean as much as Jonny means to me now. And this past year has made me certain.

I hope that makes sense.
