I haven't been on my laptop in ages and have managed to forget my main administrator account password.

The only account I can get on is a guest account which has no admin access what so ever.

Is there a way to reset the password or gain access to it, without wiping my laptop. I don't have the original CD either.

Bad crack.

Then use the "Offline NT Password and Registry Editor" method but don't change it, just blank it.

You could always just boot into safe mode as if you haven't put a password on your administrator account you should be able to access it.

Reboot your PC and as it starts loading all the Jargon keep hitting the F8 key. Choose safe mode and it will load a load of stuff. You should be able to hopefully login with the account titled "Administrator" and then change your main accounts password from there.
