What do you miss the most from back in the day?

Just a little question and fun discussion here!

What do you miss the most from back in the day. Personally, this relates to my opinion for "back in the day" which is within the time period of 2004 - 2008. I think after that, Habbo changed a little to much for me!

What I miss:

...I miss Wobble Squabble! It was one of my most favorite games to play!
I loved the game style and I just loved the challenge and hanging out with tons of friends just playing for hours and never getting bored. As well as..... 25c HC's! Sure I'm not really complaining about the price now. But It's just the fact to the point of HC's were like the **** back then now they're 2c's ? Come one.

I miss Hobba's the most though. They were so friendly and fast-acting. And I must say better than MOD's nowadays. Hobba's live on forever <3


Well...those are my most fond memories for now I guess! I'll be sure to add more as we go along. Now it's your turn guys/gals !

I miss ALL the Public rooms, the games and old habbo colours.. I still have an account with the dark pink colour on it. Although I dont miss the eXperts.. Mods do a fair job imo. I miss Lostie and his Meet the manager room the most haha.

Don't really miss the old trade system, there was no variety and rooms couldn't be made. and I don't miss the hand, it was a pain.
I miss that poof when you used to change clothes :P

Well there are a lot more things I can't remember but I dont think that Habbo sucks now. It has changed for the better

I miss the old games like bb and ss, old rare values, the old layout (hate the infostand), typing .co.uk instead of .com and how staff came on and did events and actually interacted.

I miss thinkhabbo the most though and all the people from within that community. I have the best habbo memories with people from th and habbo was never the same for me after it shut.

Not sure about 2004 onwards, but my favourite overall was back when if you had rights in a room you could give/take to/from other people as well so all the army and mafia groups had spy divisions who'd try getting rights in enemy rooms and then share it around to trash the place. So much fun

i miss the photo's and being able to take a photo, hahah getting yr camera out. i miss scripting, when my friend had like rooms full of bizarre stickies and flags in the floor. i miss all my friends from 2005, god knows what happened to them. i miss funky friday, when the prizes were actually good. i miss snewsbox and i miss sitting in there hahaha.

The community. I mean, fansites used to get hundreds of listeners on their radios constantly now they're next to dead most of the time. And there used to be tons of "famous" habbos which was always funny too and I do miss being an X, although it started to get huge, obvious flaws. And to be honest, I just miss seeing my e-friends on there although I am still in contact with quite a few of them still, it's obviously not the same, not worse or better just different.

Community. Nice! It was very populated in 06-07 especially as you've mentioned. Fan sites.

My 'back in the day' was 2001/2002 (UK hotel) so I miss ALOT heh.

1)No HC/VIP - made everyone a bit less up their bums mostly

2) Separate hotels - hated merge

3) Hobbas - a good percentage did an awesome job (Unlike X's :))

4) Trading logistics - When you could get like 30-40 norms for a hc etc

5) The hand - Loved the hand!

6) Public rooms - They focused on habbo being more of chat site

7) The general smaller community - Habbo UK used to be 100-200 online sometimes in the very early days so everyone often knew everyone else and your call for help was immediately answered.

8) The little message alert on your console - such a cute sound

dont hate me for making this thread, but i was curious what people missed from habbo. you dont have to quit to post here about the things you miss. of course you can still miss things that arent there anymore even if you still play.

i miss my friends saying STEEE<3 when i enter a room and theyre there, i was listening to some old songs and it reminded me of habbo for some reason, probably because i used to listen to them when i played habbo, i missed the old days of USA where holodices were rare and having a rare casino was something, i miss having fun on habbo before all the glamorous updates, and i just miss the old habbo, everything about it.

i understand the game is growing and changing for the better of the company, but there are just some things that arent going to be the same.

yeah, wobble squabble was an odd game, but it was pretty fun. habbo in my opinion is a clear example of something trying to become fixed when it wasnt broken in the first place. i do miss that big hand with all your furniture, that was a very unique thing that sorta made habbo, habbo.

A lot of things. The people, untradable credits, only pre-v7 rooms and furniture (they went way overboard with the new stuff), hobbas, etc.

Something recent I miss is the ability to change your badge in the client! It was so much easier just clicking your badge then clicking a new one, we had this option for a little while then it just left! Maybe it was buggy and glitchy or something but I thought it was helpful!

More older things I miss are the staff events, Snowstorm game and of course the public rooms! And when exchange credits in the catalogue didn't have the tax on them! I basically miss most of the stuff everyone else said here except the hand, although it was cool the current inventory is much more easier to use :)

i miss the simpleness of it all.. now with all the achievements, quests, and other options it seems a bit intimidating.

i was a big habbo player in 2007-2008 .. i only came back a few days ago and at first i considered giving up
i couldnt get back into my old account due to my email adress being expired by hotmail for being inactive for 2 years and i have no clue what my password was 2 years ago. i spend $100's of dollars...quite sad but life goes on- made a new account- spent $30 already- honestly could spend thousands on that game! (luckily im mature enough not to!)

Good points about old habbo-
back in the good ol days where being HC actually meant you were the *REMOVED*!
Hc couches were the main rares currency and were valued at 12c each
the habbo client was small enough to fit the whole screen, now its zoomed in (which really annoys me)
seemed to be less lag
thrones! thrones were like 1hc maybe 2hc and now they are 300 HC!! WTH????R

i hate that now when you join HC or VIP the prizes are worth nothing.. prizes is what used to make HC so desirable

some things i do love about the new habbo-
The marketplace- i love having access to a majority of the catalog without having to put up with mean shop staff and waiting ages in line to have them ask for a ridiculous amount!
VIP - back in my day there was only HC - i love the new hairstyles and clothes
more animated furni - back in the day furni used to move a little bit, and it was awesome if it did! now almost everything moves. which can also bed a bad thing..
more variety of everything, pets

Believe it or not I am not totally new to habbo, I joined way back in 2007, before the merge :) then I quit, What I miss the most is the hand. I wish they make the current inventory make the hand the window instead of that white and blue thing. That would be cool!

What I miss the most about the old days is....habbo. It's like a completely different game now, this isn't the habbo I used to love in 2008, but yet I still play. :rolleyes:

If I were to choose one thing I miss the most it would have to be the old HC system.

I don't really miss much about the old Habbo all I would say is I miss the old Battle Ball and Snow Storm like many do as it was good when there wasn't a lot of people on, or if the shops are rubbish on Habbo.com and I haven't got much to do.

However, I don't miss as much but I would prefer to have them back such as good competition prizes and I read from Kromium somewhere I think that we spend more on the Competition than the actual prize is worth and I agree, they need to stop giving out badges as prizes as it isn't unique and they should also stop recolouring badges as they pretty much fail.

Agree with all of that! I miss wenders' snewsbox, Funky Friday the prices were incredible I remember sometimes they'd give away rooms and the rooms were amazing. Scripting was great as well, I loved the invisible Habbos, the mutant Habbos, the naked Habbos etc.

Not related, but I also miss the game CokeMusic with the Pop Quiz and the Sumo Wrestling game where people would 'boost' and let each other get 4 in a row for a gong. Then there was MokiTown too. Ahhh nostalgia overload.

Playing the game after nearly 4 years away, there is a couple of things I am missing!


Battleball - When that was first launched I played it all day, every day, trying to compete for that number 1 spot :D It was really quite fun
Casinos - They are just OTT these days! So big and stacked, they lost some of the character they used to have.

COKEMUSIC omg brandon. i used to love that site. i remember waiting for it to open cause it was only open til like 2pm -1am EST and then just wandering round the worlds playing my **** music i'd made. getting 'decibels' by having a coke from a minibar LOOOOOL or a coolbox. if you fell out with someone you could go and thumbs down their song and the whole room boo'ed hahahhaha loved it.

pop quiz was hilarious, i remember being like 12 and going to my friends and playing pop quiz by just putting in rude answers. we were crap though LOL was just like "touch mi bum hahahahha" omfg. i miss cokemusic.
