In religion for the past few weeks we have been learning about the 'I Have A Dream' speech by Martin Luther King, and how he inspired loads of people back in the 1950/60's. We were asked to think of who our Martin Luther King is, meaning who inspires us personally today.
For this competition I want you to tell me who your biggest influence is and why.
May the most creative entry win!
Prize: 5 credits + 10 rep
Personally I think my mum is my biggest inspiration if that works out because like she's had to put up with me for 17 years and a lot more to come woo :)

rosie i think u r u inspired me to be a events organizer & inspired me to be dj chubster which everyone loves.. thank u
i think inspiration and influence are different things, i think the person had the biggest influence on me was my first tutor at college: aimee. she taught me that i shouldn't behave in a way others expected me to behave, and gave me a real passion for acting and creating theatre. even when i left uni she checked up on me and made sure i was fine and she really is my hero. The person who inspired me the most has to be a woman who came in from the local Homeless Shelter and talked to us about homelessness. After that talk, I decided I wanted to do something for homeless people as well.
The person who has influenced me the most must be a friend of mine, she's helped me to get through life so far and, however difficult I get, she forces me to get back up and get on with it.

A very strong, courageous blind man actually.i was doing a course on community services and they brought him in to talk about all the hardships he has encountered, the poor thing :( but despite everything he has been through he is still happy go lucky, always smiling, never feeling sorry for himself and has pretty much learnt to do everything himself.
it taught me not to get upset about meaningless things, some people are alot worse off so we should smile and be happy for what we do have and be thankful to even be alive and have our health and family!

My biggest inspiration is my dad. He battled through cancer so hard and even when the end was near, he never gave up. He also stayed laughing and joking all through-out his treatment and everything.

My inspiration is my dad for many reasons. He suffered a problem in his school days and lived on, even with the bullying. He never gave up.
Early in September '01 he travelled to America and started visiting places. He went to many states and he was travelling from New York to San Francisco in California, aboard United Airlines flight 93. At around 3:00 pm (probs like 10am in us) we got a call from him from the plane saying there was a problem. With several others he made sure the plane didn't go in any buildings. He is my hero.
One person that inspires me is Freddie Mercury. He was dead when I was born but I certainly was brought up listening to him and I just think he's amazing. Even when he was ill, he was performing his very hardest. He worked hard to get to where he was before he died and Queen's music is still popular today, whereas music that's in the charts now probably won't be know in about 15 years to come.
