Hi. I'm 17 female. I have skin tags on my neck, armpit and below my right eye. They don't harm me but it causes discomfort. When I accidentally touched them or rubbed them over, they hurt. I thought of removing them and they'll be gone for good.
So, the question is should I remove them or not? I don't know if I should remove them.
:S
what are skin tags?
if they're causing discomfort then you probably should get rid of them unless it's dangerous

I would leave them if they are not bothering you, but by what you are saying they are causing discomfort and I think you should visit your doctor to look at options to help them or even remove them.
I had one under my armpit. Didn't cause me any pain but was so awkward trying to shave around it. I went to the doctor and got it burnt off. If I was you, I would go to have them taken off because it was painless and takes about 1 minute.

Skin tags are like extra pieces of flesh.

I think I would do that too. Thanks anyway. :)

Hi there
I am just going to quickly post as I had a similair experience.
Although it wasn't a tag I had - I actually had a lump on the back of my forearm which I got removed.
The lump was farely small to begin with and didn't really bother me - and when I got it checked out at the doctors they basically said it wasn't anything serious and so would leave it for then.
It started growing however and ended up being extremely painful to touch at all - and due to the growth I underwent surgery and got it removed.
To be honest with you - I think this was the right decision for me as it was causing me a lot of discomfort (ie. could never use it to lift anything or put any direct pressure on my arm or would be in a great deal of agony). However, the surgery was not pleasant and I ended up with a pretty nasty scar also which looks a bit like I have been self harming! :P
However - although I don't particularly regret the surgery as such, the scar has ended up a bit infected and they think either the scarring under my skin isn't happening properly or the lump is coming back - and so I am going to get it examined tomorrow with the liklihood I will require further surgery.
I think you need to weigh up all the pro's and con's for you. Although I have ended up probably needing further surgery - I still stand by my original decision as it was bothering me. However - if it wasn't physically sore... I don't know so much if it would have been worth it.
Let us know what you decide! :)

Hey, If you still have them and they are causing discomfort, speak to your local GP/Doctor. Generally if they are causing discomfort they will remove them if you ask them. Best of luck! :)

A doctor will remove them, but personally when I get skin tags in non-sensitive areas I just rip/cut them out. Bleeds like a bugger but it works. So, if that interest you then that would cover everything but the eye. Go to a doctor for the eye, or for all of them.
