I know there is already a thread on this, but I would like to recommend something, which could get overlooked in the other thread.

Could we have one extra charity this year, which has to be based on cancer? As most will now know, Steve Jobs passed away yesterday. Now, most people probably own one of his products on this forum, and almost everyone will have heard of Apple and Steve. He helped advance Mobile Phones, and has created a huge brand (with a concept car being made at the moment. To me, he is personally incredible and through him and Apple that is where I think I got my first interest in Marketing and Brands.

So would it be possible to have a VIP at Christmas in memory of possibly one of the well known men of the 21st century?

Thoughts?

Whilst I agree Steve Jobs did a great deal for the world's technology industry (and more), I don't think we need to commemorate it with an extra Christmas VIP charity. People can donate themselves (and by all means, should) if they feel the need.

disagree, if we didn't do a VIP for a forum member that died (ollie) then why should we do a VIP for a man we've never even spoken to. full respect to the guy and all, but, no.

These.

If you care that much donate your pocket money. Cancer research is the most funded charity in the history of the earth already.

since Ollie did not change something in the world, Jobs did.

Fair enough though, was just an idea since I know I would have contributed myself, so wondered others thoughts

Somewhat patronising saying pocket money :P

Also, who mentioned cancer research.

Cancer whatever, doesn't really matter, if people want to donate to cancer research then they'll vote for it in the charity thread.

I'm with these two to be honest. Even though I agree that Steve Jobs did a hell of a lot for the world in terms of the technology industry, I just don't think it's something Habbox should do. But thanks for the suggestion!

Just because you want VIP on the forums doesn't mean we should have a day on the forums supporting cancer research.

I am confused? What do you mean? I don't really care if Habbox sells VIP or not, I was referring to the time Habbox sells VIP anyway. In future, I will remember that donating to a cancer charity means cancer research.

Damn.
