Any advice?

Anyone worked in it before?

Or in a call centre?

What sort of company are you working at? Just act happy and willing to help them.

Oh I know all of that, I've already put the most false upfront "I'm awesome" ego on to get it

Its just to tide me over while I look for media jobs, it's a claims management company so i'll be all like "Lawls sorry ya crashed ya car m8y"

It shouldn't be to bad I'll be raking the money in haha, even if my social life is killed

Stick with it until you find your media related job. :)

Haven't got commission found out i'm not even an advisor i'm in Hire & Review

So i'm the lucky **** who gets the ring people up to say "Your Hire car is no longer in hire because you're a *****"

It pays well for now, and Maken i'm certainly doing that haha, got offered a job at Octopus Media in newcastle but the journey was too far, i'm actually gutted i loved the place.

I've got a few years experience in the Retail industry. The bad part is unless you work somewhere with a relaxed attitude and a good team of staff, you'll learn to hate your job.

What got me through everyday, was two words.

"Thank you"

I got my satisfaction from knowing I was helping people and hearing them thank you for it made me happy to continue doing what I was.
So take it slowly, listen, learn and you'll do just fine.

Good luck :)

I didn't even get my 3 weeks training, I got 3 days sales training then got threw on the floor and told "you're in Hire & Review" so I was making calls 4 days in...

Phoning garages is easy, its when I have to phone customers in really messed up cases that annoys me because they never listen so im sat there repeating myself "YOU CAN'T CANCEL MY HIRE CAR" I'm afraid I can... and have.

Yeah they tend to do that. You will also find out that you do not matter at all, unfortunately.

From their point of view, if you dont do a good enough job, you can be replaced.
You have to swallow your pride and do what you can.

I tolerated hell of alot from my jobs, alot of crap from managers and other people too.

The managers seem all right at the moment, I've told them i'd rather jump in the deep end because i dont like to be sat twiddling my thumbs.

But the managers are going on holidays for the next 2 weeks so i've been told "You'll be sat doing this for 2 weeks" and the "this" is pretty mundane tasks, but it pays so I'll do it haha.
