Really happy to hear that Katy is going to be on X Factor this week! It'll do wonders for the single and boost 'Teenage Dream' sales even further! Always loved this song since I first heard the album :D

It's hilarious when you think she was performing the third single from TD on the last series around this time last year, now she's still only on the sixth. They've done a good job with dragging this era out as long as possible but I'm getting really bored now and I hate this song. It's not in the iTunes Top 1000 yet and with barely any (none at all?) radio support or video I'm hoping the XF performance will be too premature for the single campaign to have too much of an effect. Because it sucks (h)

This was always one of my favourites from TD and i'm really glad she's chosen to release one of her more meaningful songs from the record. I'm a bit disappointed Hummingbird Heartbeat never made it as a single but hey, it's an excellent way to close the Teenage Dream era imo. Very excited to hear she's also working on some demos that didn't make it onto the record and i'm praying for a re-release! I do think it's a little early for the X Factor performance though, since the song's only just been sent to radio and hasn't had much airplay yet, she could have done with waiting a few weeks longer. Still can't wait to see her next Sunday though :D

To be honest, I hated 'Firework' but I wouldn't wish it to flop because I love Katy Perry! It's astonishing how well this era has gone for her though, isn't it? :P Besides, I'm sure you're aware she has already recorded a hell of a lot of new songs and is currently preparing a new release (be it a new album or a re-release, I'm sure we'll find out soon) :D

To be honest, artists don't wait until the sixth single to release the "best" from the album. It has had some amazing reviews so it just shows you how much of a strong album 'Teenage Dream' is. 'Hummingbird Heartbeat' is also single worthy in my opinion although she'd be seriously pushing it, releasing a seventh. It would require incredibly heavy worldwide promotion in order for it to do anything chart wise so it just wouldn't be worth the hassle. She definitely needs to wrap up the album after this single and either move onto a re-release or, better yet, a whole new album :)
