Eugh, so I was on BBC news and accidently stumbled upon this;


It is the sort of news story that will have left many feeling queasy over their breakfast cereal - a study which suggests one in six mobile phones is contaminated with faecal matter.

Researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (http://www.lshtm.ac.uk/) and Queen Mary, University of London (http://www.qmul.ac.uk/) took nearly 400 samples from mobile phones and hands in 12 British cities.
They found 16% of phones and 16% of hands harboured E. coli (Escherichia coli), bacteria which inhabit the human intestines.
The largest proportion of contaminated phones was in Birmingham (41%) while Londoners were caught with the highest proportion of E. coli present on hands (28%).

What.. a lovely thought? Not touching anyone's mobile phone now..kty :P

Its only because I get bored when on the toilet :'( I used to write News Reports on the toilet.

But like I always wash ma hands!

tbh i think it's pretty obvious anyway, anything you touch could have stuff like this on. door handles, computer mouses, chairs, table literally everything.

(this is coming from an hour on germs and viruses in food tech)

I won't worry about this because then you'd have to worry about everything. Door handles, rails, keyboards, mice, food we eat with our hands - it's all smothered in beautiful bacteria.

Additionally iPhone users are safe - our phones run on magic (Hi Tom!).

i my relationship with my phone is already in jeopardy due to all those "cell phones cause brain tumours" articles..
though one just recently came out suggesting it doesnt..which is good..if its accurate.
damn techology always seems to change scientists and other professionals minds!
when i was a kid they always used to say "never apple mascara to your bottom lashes"
now everyone saturates their bottom lashes! including me of course!
