I had an interview today for a Modern Apprenticeship in Administration working with Dundee Council and I got word later on in the day that I was successful and that they would like to take me on. I reckon that, for me, this is a massive step considering I was forced out of school due to illness with no grades. I reckon this goes to show that if you do leave school without grades you're not destined to a life on jobseekers. I'll be working with one of my best mates as he had this exact post last year and is now on a 17k per annum job.
Happy days! Any more success stories like this to share?

That's great news pal, well done!
I am currently a Business Admin modern apprentice with my local council & its really interesting. I'm learning a lot & its really good experience ... even at only £2.50 an hour!
Some of the jobs i get asked to do are really crappy, but still worth while & it may lead to a full time job at the end of it all & if not then the experience is there and should help me when / if i move onto new things!
To say your working with one of your mates too should make it even better!
Good luck with it, enjoy yourself :)
