Mage's normally would win.. But it's possible for rangers to win as it is hard to hit when they wear dragonhide :)

Range would win the dragon hide is good mage protection and you can hit very fast with range ive seen double 25s from magic short bow special 99 range and rune arrows :D

Range is good on Magic, Magic is good on combat, combat is good on range.

Mage and rangers are usally the same but when mages use the staff you get from desert treasure they win and Rangers would use prayer

i have a friend with around 95 mage and he has ancient staff he could kill soo many lvl 99 rangers with rune arrows
and i have a lvl 93 or something like dat ranger with crystal bow an with full karil or if he uses karils weapon aswell he could kill nearly all mages
by him self he took on around 5-8 mages him self an 10lvls higher den him
an my friend mage 1 with the staff when he was lvl 60 he finish desret treasure an he went to wild an killed lvl 90-100 they were even scared of him lolz

It depends on the mage/range level and what magic they're using, ancient or normal. With ancient they would win easily.
