Doing the campaign all at once as I cba to download the patch yet. I noticed a few bugs in the campaign but no real game breakers, and it's pretty fun though the jet mission was a bit of a dissapointment.

It took me ages to work out how to do that level because the rockets would stay on WAIT and took ages to go to RDY

I only got the funds for it yesterday so I didn't want to wait any longer so I just bought it from Origin directly. Glad it has finally came for you :D

From 10/10 kills to a few deaths on MW2 to about 10 deaths to one kill on BF3? :L

Slightly improve 6 kills to 13 deaths last game. I realised about half way through I kept getting beaten to kills since in MW2 I can press to aim down sight and it stays there, but on BF3 I have to keep holding the right click down..

I have only done quick match so far, which is TDM. No planes, or vehicles - not sure if that is simply the case on QM TDM

Conquest is deffo the best for vehicles. Other game modes don't seem to have as many. :(

Rush is demolition lol.

But yeah jumping is messed up, though when it works its pretty freaking cool though I would rather being able to get in a window easily then a cool jump. Also does anyone else find the destruction a bit lacking?

I would say conquest is more like domination. Rush - Demolition. Talking in Call of duty game modes anyway.

I'm quite enjoying it. Some of the spawns in team deathmatch are just stupid, started a game, walked 2 or 3 steps and got shot from behind. Happened 2 or 3 times that game.

God damn, I was in a match and like all the menus and **** became faded and I couldn't do **** and had to reset my PS3, ffs. And my screen has moments when it keeps flashing green and pink, which I'm not sure if it's my tv, console or the game.

The first mission with the sniper is doing my ******* head in, other than that I am in love with this game. Although I do wish there was a private match feature, I wanna practice with the jets a bit. nine times out of ten i can't take off, then when i can, i try and turn, then my plane does this funny little roll and nose dives straight into the ground

I keep trying to look for him but the ****** always gets me (which I guess is scripted because I die instantly) but I can't for the life of me work out how the hell I'm meant to see him without seeing me.

So I got past that sniper level, and just done the jet one. When you do all the pre-flight checks I was getting so stoked, literally shaking with excitement but the mission is so boring, I thought I was gonna fly it!

It was promising, then got crap.

The online just gets more fun as you learn how maps play out :D.

I love Rush and I always have done, but I always do far better in TDM, althought the spawns truely are as random as the game says they are. I've spawned in to a game and got a triple kill as the first three of the game once. But somehow it works in BF3, if something like that happens in COD it just seems a lot more frustrating

Big fan of this news, but I also wish they'd adjust it depending on where you are on the map. In the subways in Operation Metro/in dark buildings yeah I can understand being blinded, but when it's broad daylight the torch shouldn't blind you as much as it does in the dark

Well I got them with the limited edition of Battlefield 3 but from what I have played so far they are pretty great and I did enjoy the rounds I had on them last night. Do you play it on the PC or console?

I'm ashamed I still haven't bought this. I got 1000 G on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 then I traded it in and knowing my luck they released tonnes of new achievements, I won't make that mistake this time. I think the fact you can actually drop in prone makes the game better now.

Doubt it, you can't mod the Battlefield servers no more since Bad Company 2 I think. Well not until DICE/EA support mods anyway.

Didn't they say they aren't going to as it's [the engine] "too complicated"?
They have to give the community a chance at least... You'd be surprised how good modders are.

I know, I never agreed with them infact it just screams "were too lazy" in my opinion.

Also I HATE helicopters right now. I was on Wake Island, didn't get a kill from 2 uses of the rockets or one use of the machine gun, yet the guy who was in the helicopter at the same time on the machine gun a managed to get tons of kills easily. And then to top it off, some guy fires the rocket at the helicopter when I'm on the gun and the rocket just kills me, doesn't blow up the helicopter or appear to damage it visually, it just kills me. Urg.

Part of buying games on PC is experiencing what the community can do with them. Project Reality is a great example, I loved that mod. Hopefully EA and/or DICE open their eyes to the fantastic community they have on the PC. There was an interview saying that they do love and support the modding community but they are saying it's "too complicated" to mod the frostbite 2.0. It's going to be more challenging than modding BF2, because you have to have destructible buildings and such... But that shouldn't hold anyone back from releasing mod tools. It's not like they are going to lose money because nobody buys their DLC, actually more BF3 copies will probably be sold if they made a Project Reality in BF3, that would be awesome!

Which is what I said a couple of posts previously... I don't think mod tools will boost sales if I'm quite honest, the only thing they could do to boost sales on PC is putting it on steam (imo).

Custom lobbies & general other **** about game modes always go down well, all we need to do it look at CSS, that game would only be successful for Japanese special forces training if it didn't have modded lobbies

As expected BF3 is ******* awesome, totally going to waste my whole day on it yesterday. I love it compared to CoD because it's so much more realistic and when you wipe out tonnes of enemies it feels so much more rewarding.

Hopefully it's not cut down too much for consoles. I wish they didn't cut the actual map down for consoles, just keep the objectives the same. I hope there's a good range of weapons involved too (assuming there will be guns).

They had to cut down the map size for console versions to still be able to support vehicles and destruction. They would of had to get rid of both to get 64 players and bigger maps like the PC version.
