Now then, now then, now then!

Sir Jimmy Savile has died at his home aged 84.

The former presenter, most famous for his show Jim'll Fix It, passed away at his home in Leeds, according to Sky News. Savile was just two days away from his 85th birthday. James Savile was born in Leeds on Halloween in 1926, the seventh child (‘I was the “not again!” child’) of Vincent, a bookmaker’s clerk, and Agnes, the woman he always called the Duchess. He went to work in the coal mines at 14 and if he hadn’t been hurt in an explosion seven years later, would have spent his life there.

But despite horrible injuries to his back, he went on to become a professional wrestler, DJ, King of Pop and lord of Jim’ll Fix It. He raised staggering amounts for charity — his accountant lost track after £40million — much of it for patients with spinal injuries. Fans were quick to take to Twitter to pay tribute to the legendary presenter, with Katherine Jenkins leading the way. She tweeted: 'Sad news Jimmy Saville has passed away.My sis & I always wanted a Jim'll Fix it Badge/Medal. Loved that show.Great memories #RIPJimmySaville.'

He's not really of our era but many may remember seeing him before especially concerning charity events, more of our parents era with Jim'll Fix It. There's no doubt he's an icon for many with childhood, quite a suprise considering his good health.

RIP! thoughts?
