We need some!A week ago, in preparation for Habboween, before we knew that the Hotel was on the brink of damnation (http://www.habbo.com/articles/2682-chronozomfg-has-arrived), we were planning to have a movie night on halloween. We were all preparing our costumes, getting properly dressed up..
Picture the following scenario...
The.4th.habbo was walking around asking people about their 'Ridiculous Man Suit'. Puffin taped potato peelers to her fingers, asking people about their dreams. Neja was planning to feast on brains, but was worried that being stuck in the Habbo offices would limit her selection in terms of quality... Kitano, however, was dressed as Batman, because he really likes Batman. His other costume was a Millennium Falcon, or so he claimed...
THEN!
ChronoZomfg arrived, stole all our betamax and VHS tapes, and set fire to them. So now we've got nothing to watch (let's face it, when you're staring evil in the eye every day, you just want to sit back with a good movie at night) -- except Kitano's awful home movies... That said, his "Scenes From A Public Toilet, Volume 3" is quite an artistic achievement, but not one that the rest of us really want to indulge in...
This is where you come in... Please help us recreate some scary movies! Points for your Team and the fate of the Hotel (and our level of boredom) is on your shoulders.
THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT:
It's easy as 1-2-3...
1. Get together with your friends (max 5 including you), recreate your favourite horror movie moments and record it all in a video. Please note that the video has to be short, no more than 2 minutes.
2. If you have never created a video before, search for screencasting software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_screencasting_software) such as e.g. HyperCam or CamStudio.
3. Once your video is done, upload it to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/) -- now, here is the important part:
-- Make absolutely sure you name your video: HABBO.COM HORRORFEST
-- In the video description put [B]your Habbo name(s) so we know who made it.
-- Include Team Allegiance in the description as well ›› (http://www.habbo.com/articles/2682-chronozomfg-has-arrived)
[B]THIS IS HOW YOU SUBMIT IT TO US:
If you're working in groups, pick one person to send it!
1. You already uploaded your video to Youtube, so all you got to do now, is copy the link to your master piece, and click this email address: [email protected] - make sure your subject line reads: Horror Fest
2. In the email, also add your Habbo name and the Habbo names of all your friends that appear in the video with you (max 5 including you), your Team's name (you have to all be in the same Team) + the name of the movie you chose to reenact a scene from.
3. Click send before Wednesday November 3rd at 9am EST (that's 6am in Los Angeles, 2pm in London, 9pm in Singapore, and 11pm in Sydney).
PRIZES:
The actors & artists of the 5 best movies will receive an exclusive Habboween badge, a Tombstone Trophy engraved by Mr. Kitano (as a thank you for saving his home videos from harm as Puffin and Neja were threatening to eat them), a Dragon Throne each and 5 points for their Teams!
10 teams of runner ups will receive an exclusive Habboween badge and a Tombstone Trophy engraved by Kitano for each of their members, plus 3 points for their teams.
