Suggestion The Habbox/STICM Community

Hey guys I think as a habbox community we should make an official STICM room, rules and regulations, And even higher guards/staff to run the room while the owner is away. In my opinion it would be a good way to get Habbox's rep up ( not that it needs it) but I know for a fact alot of people would come and support Habbox because at the moment the STICM community is HUGE.

First of Welcome to Habbox and it's great to seeing new members posting suggestions on what Habbox can do. I'm a bit confused with your suggestion really, I don't really know what "STICM" is or what the purpose of it is and so on. If you could explain that as well? That would help me and other members understand what you mean as well. Unless I'm the only person who doesn't know what it is! :P

SITCM stands for steal the ice cream machine. Now it doesnt always have to be an icm it could be anything that hands you items. If you lookup David-F ( A good friend of mine) he is the owner of a STICM room. The objective of the game is to not get trapped by the two guard "defending" the ice cream. To be able to play this game you must be fast and clever to get back before they trap you.

Seems a pretty cool event on what you have shown me on the hotel. This is down to the Events Department who host such kind of games for the users to take part in etc. I'm sure the Events Management or any Events Staff will come across the thread and will share their opinion on it.

Hey what do you know. I'm an EO! I like the idea, I might try it out see how It would work with prizes and stuff, these games do tend to be popular. I will definalty look into investing in some ICM's

I guess if you could keep it running it would be a pretty neat way to advertise Habbox :)

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't think it should just be a standard event if it is done.

A room should be owned by the events manager where ALL the event organisers would have rights to be "higher guards".

Maybe tomorrow when HxHD is transfered over to Danube, he can set up that event where the Dragon's Den queue currently is?

okay errrm yeah I quite like this idea so I'll have a chat to Cameron and we may get this going. Something I've wanted to do for quite a while is get an official Habbox Carnival going (I believe Martin was making one but never got round to it :()!... we'll get thinking cheers.

No point having it inside HxHD if that is what you mean.

Needs to be a separate room, otherwise you won't get NEW users going, as they won't realise the help desk has a game in it - plus two busy rooms is better than one.

Carnival.. well.. it's something myself and a few others have been waiting to see for quite a while so I think it's time we just did it. It's just like a Takeshis Castle, so perhaps you could offer me some room designing tips.. yours was quite legendary.. ;)

It can either go one of two ways. My initial idea was to design a Carnival where normal Habbos can purchase rights; this would mean all credits made could be put straight back into Habbox and (in theory) you've got a steady amount of coins flowing in. All Events Organisers would be given rights and this could contribute towards their totals too. I'd also hope that we could use it for Staff Bonding (especially in the Events Department). I think by taking this route it kind of cuts down the wall between Habbox Staff and the community so everyone can work together to host the same event, all whilst getting funds too. Perhaps it would be quite like the "Habbox sponsor" rooms, but it's helping it too.... yada yada.

The other route is to just be boring and only allow EOs to host, in which case it risks not being very popular at all.

Haha, thanks for that, Mat(t) :L Just before I decided to jack it in I was designing a Takeshi Castle with one of the massive rooms as an entrance - I believe it was events or competitions where a lot of the lodge ended up. If it is a Takeshi Castle, I would be happy to get involved (or carnival.. same thing.. :P)

I think there are some key things to look at here;

- Selling rights would generate revenue for Habbox which could be used on competitions.
- People who buy rights could scam, and if the room is owned by a manager at Habbox that could tarnish Habbox's reputation.
- It would obviously generate new users at Habbox either way - especially if winners needed to sign up to the forum and PM the staff member or something - although that would only work if staff are the hosts, or scam sites could be given out..
- Great community feel to Takeshi Castle, especially between hosts - so that in itself would provide an excellent base for staff bond(ing/age).
- The room could be 'booked' by departments so it is closed for X amount of time, specifically so departments can have their own events.
- Perhaps you could make it so all hosts need to be a member of the Habbox community (eg. have an account) - if you REALLY wanted it to be big, you could have a usergroup+bar for Carnival people - as that would get people to buy host rights - although, you would need to be careful not to make it an elitist thing.

But yeah, I think the issue of scammers is a massive thing, and the problem with not having it "OFFICIAL HABBOX" and having it "Sponsored by Habbox" instead, means it would be far less likely to achieve instant success - having said that, a well made room with good strategies will always do well eventually.

I would love a Takeshi Castle/Carnival style thing, as everyone knows it was my favourite room, after casinos!

Again, I think if it was too be done properly, it would need to be owned by a member of management as that, to me at the very least, shows it really is 'official'. It is a kind offer though.

Regarding STICM - 650c and pearlharbour? will be hosting at least one each Wednesday at 6pm GMT as a Weekly Event, although I do hope it will be somewhat of a regular occurence! :)

Obviously the price of rights wouldn't be stupidly cheap so not just any Tom, **** or Harry from the street can get them. It depends whether getting the 15c is worth the slim risk of someone thinking Habbox is a scam, as opposed to the individual host.

Would be so much easier to design with WIRED now, since can't you make users enter from anywhere? Always had to let people use the ******* door :L
