View Full Version : Features "To do list"

I’ve noticed there has been a lot of decent suggestions in feedback which general management seems to like, they say that they will implement the features and well, something else happens and then they completely forget about the suggestions. I’m not trying to blame anyone, obviously general management are quite busy and have lives of their own, but this idea would keep members up to date with what’s going on behind the scenes.

Maybe there should be a stickied thread at the top of feedback titled “Features To do list” where these suggestions can be added. As the features are designed the completion % can be added next to it so it keeps the public updated as to how far away these features are from being implemented.

This means that members who have suggested good ideas are not being ignored and it also helps remind David which features are meant to be implemented. This also allows members to read the List to see if their idea is there which will stop multiple threads of the same ideas popping up and it’s also a nice way of keeping in contact with the members about upcoming features.

A few features which have been approved but not added:

Custom Prefixes for the Competitions section:

Spoiler tag in quick reply:

HabboxLive merging with Habbox.com

Obviously the last one is still in progress, I assume? But it would be nice to know how far into the project dave is! I’m also sure there are more features which I have missed out, but I only had a quick browse :P

I think this sounds like a good idea, and I remember something similar on another site. I agree that it also allows people to check whether something is already in progress, before posting a thread. As for the Competitions icons, I spoke to Scott about these last week, and as far as I'm aware they will stil be implemented.

This would be a good idea, and would stop multiple threads being made for the same thing - and moaning (admittedly I am a pro at this..) - as we would be able to see progress is being made.

Nice idea - will rep x

Seems like a pretty good idea. I'll bring it up with David and see if he wants to create the thread for this, since it's mainly his sort of area with putting the requests like the ones you have mentioned into practice.

In regards of that, yes it's in progress and not something that has been forgotten.

This thread is a very good idea and hopefully David will get round to implementing these things once he's finished polishing his collection of Apple products. It's a very frequent occurance to need to make a spoiler in the quick reply.

Yes there's no harm in this and it will a) remind David of what he needs to do and b) What we can expect in the future. Great suggestion there which I can't see any problem in being implemented! :D

I like the idea of having a list of things we're going to incorporate but the only problem I have with it is that there's not always necessarily an organized straight forward list of things that need to be completed. I have long term goals, one of which is the HxL Merger, another forum skin and at the moment atleast one other which is abit more secret, but 99% of things that are being coded are usually either last minute decisions (such as user tagging), emergencies or things I can't publicly post about because of a number of reasons. There's also the fact that a lot of what needs fixing or creating is extremely boring to most people and keeping an updated log as such would be incredibly tedious and overlooked by most people anyway.
