but the thing is i can't cos i can't drive, my mums out
i'm the only one here....
the quantity of chocolate was like, it was microwavable chocolate in a pouch and half of it had been used and the other half hadn't and it dried into like solid chocolate
http://bit.ly/qlcO1e a pouch like that
so what do you think i should doooo, he's been really quiet and sort of moaning but other than that he seems fine
i think his stomach might be upset or something cos he doesn't really no what to do with himself and keeps drinking lots of water

ATLEAST IT'S SUGAR FREE
but i think the heart healthy bit on the packet doesn't count for dogs cos the theobromine speeds their heart up which can kill em and stuff plus it stays in the system for a while so full poisoning side effects might not be seen for hours after so if it's peanut dont let him run about like a 3legged rat or his heart might explode
EUGH THATS DISGUSTING TARA
ring your mum and make her drive home ASAP

I doubt the dog is properly ill, it'll just be sick everywhere. It's only if they eat stupendous amounts of chocolate that it's dangerous. My Dog ate one of those massive bars of chocolate last christmas (One of those ones they only sell at christmas and for like £5 a bar) and was just a little sick, that's all.
I fed my dog choclate all the time, all it did was poopie all over.

My dog had pretty much a whole bar and it was completely fine, they're rat dogs too. I found it odd it didn't affect them.

anyone who feeds their dog chocolate is an arse. That's basically like giving a human something that is gonna make em **** themselves with a mega bad stomach

my dog ate loads of easter eggs one year and she got really sick and had to go to the vets, who then had to use charcoal to make her like throw it all up or something i'm not really that sure i wasn't there and it was ages ago
but yes if you purposely feed your dog chocolate then you're basically an idiot, i don't know why anyone would want to do that

I left it on the side and they jumped up and ripped through the packaging and then helped themselves.
my dog is fine with chocolate, I don't feed it him.. he likes going through my bedroom cupboard :l
water usually gets it out the system

Guys, dogs shouldn't really ever be fed chocolate! Chocolate contains theobromine which can be incredibly dangerous for certain animals - dogs included. This is because they metabolize theobromine much slower than humans and therefore can quite easily succumb to theobromine poisoning. We would need to eat an unimaginable amount of chocolate to be harmed but for small dogs it's especially dangerous. Granted, little bits of chocolate aren't going to kill your dog but the dog doesn't benefit from it any way so why bother at all? By the way: the smaller the dog, the more dangerous it is
I fed chocolate to my dog all the time, it never harmed it. Had to be put down eventually, arthritis..
You should never feed a dog chocolate. Not only is it irresponsible, but it's also stupid. You can get specific dog chocolate which they can digest easily and is obviously a much safer option.
luckily, my dog turns his nose up atchocolate! doesn't eat chips or anything bad for him.. but chocolate's 'poison' for dogs.. very bad indeed

My dog was sneaky once and ate my entire easter egg (foil and all) and I was panicking so badly 'cause I thought he would die from the toxins (well.. toxins for dogs) in his body. He was fine though - didn't throw up or anything.
But ye, I completely deter anyone from feeding anything with chocolate in - I won't even give my dog a corner of a choc. chip biscuit :(
