Sam Broadcaster does cost, however I don't believe many people pay for theirs. It doesn't cost to connect/use on the radio, all you do is connect it through encoders.
An old member of the Forum created this site, hope it helps! www.rbguides.com

You need to buy the full SAM Broadcaster. Like Mark said , it doesn't cost you to connect a radio. :)

Not paying for it is illegal

If you can't afford the software, use winamp or something.

If you can't afford a car, you don't go and steal it. This is the exact same thing as stealing software

I don't see why this forum allows members to suggest others break the law :S

Because making a copy is totally the same thing as taking the original

Not that I'm endorsing piracy, I'm just sayin'

I agree with this viewpoint. Like a Boss.

No one buys in it all honesty so there's no point pretending people do. Habbox(Forum) even used to have guides on how to obtain SAM for free and even hosted copies of it at one stage I believe (it might do still but in staff sections?).

It is of course illegal but easy to obtain never the less.

It's stealing.

Regardless of if its just a copy or not, it's stealing.

If you can't afford something, you don't buy it, it's that simple.

I don't see why the same isn't considered for software. Furthermore I don't understand why habbox forbids users to sell runescape accounts, yet allow people to break the law?

There has been no law breaking in this thread what so ever, get off your high horse.

well, allow people to suggest others break the law :rolleyes:I don't want to use a forum where I'd be infracted for advising someone to drive 80 on a motorway because everyone else does. It's not breaking any rules or laws to suggest to others they could break the law, to do so would be censorship as ultimately it's up to the individual whether they break the law or not.

Yes but you will never stop people from illegally getting software. It was already a proven fact that people who downloaded music illegally bought more music than anyone else.

So long as the links etc are kept private, then it's not going to a) cause legal trouble for Hx or b) tarnish their reputation, it's not a problem :P:P

True. I gather they don't supply SAM Broadcaster any more. I know for the stations I run and for my upcoming one many will download it. But I don't supply it and get them to sign a contract meaning its down to them and I/the station are safe.

there are no illegal copies of sam, no reason for them if there are any
but the activation code sharing may be illegal if not against sams rules
I dont see how this can be iillegal I see it as the makers terms to share and such

Eh. There are loads of illegal copies of SAM Broadcaster. Something that costs to buy and you are obtaining it other ways e.g. torrents etc is illegal if it's a crack or a serial.

The makers obviously share their software but want to make a profit and so charge for it. They will have terms like most professional companies preventing misuse and meaning they could if need be sue someone for illegally obtaining it (this however is rare).

Just as the above has said its a trial. To actually get the full version it costs and so downloading it and removing the trial when you haven't paid is illegal.

I'm not sure is Vinnie is a troll as half the stuff he posts is stupid, or if he actually has no idea.
