A 13-year-old boy was left in hospital with “serious” head injuries after an accident on a busy Leeds road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the A61 Leeds Road, Outwood at around 7.30pm on Friday (November 4)
The incident happened outside the Woodman Public House when a Renault Megane travelling along Leeds Road in the direction of Wakefield was in collision with the local boy.
He was taken to hospital with “serious head injuries”, West Yorkshire Police confirmed today.

He was a friend of mine and I was there when it happened. It was a group of teenagers who pushed him into the road, where a car hit him. He broke his collar bone, leg and fractured his skull.
Imo it's horrid what goes on atm. The group should've known not to do that, even if there was no car coming.
People like that need to be taught a lesson, because immature kids like these cause many accidents throughout the year, whether they mean to or not.
