[+REP] Jailbreaking

I've currently got an iPhone4 and was wondering if it's worth jailbreaking. It's not something I've really read into or anything so I was wondering, could someone please explain if it's worth it and if so, what are the benefits?
Also, any past experiences with jailbreaking?

Jailbreaking allows you to customise your phone beyond what you could do if it wasn't rooted. Not going into the details of some of the other things as it is illegal and would probably get me banned.

However, JAILBREAKING ITSELF IS NOT ILLEGAL.

Bare in mind iOS 5 is currently semi-tethered meaning you'll need to use a computer to turn it on otherwise things like Safari wont work. I'd wait until it's untethered personally.

Exactly this, when I had my iPhone 4 iOS5 and was using semi-tethered it was every annoying everytime I reboot or respring to use a computer.

I wouldnt mind helping you jailbreak it, through every step, and helping you get very nice apps for it. and how to get free apps as well.

I have had great experiences with past jailbreaking, jailbroken many many ipods and iphones, havnt done any ios5 though.
Benefits are beyond what you would think.
So many great things, but i love to keep it basic, spend one night go through the apps get what i want.. as i know what how i like my jailbroken ipod.
