View Full Version : Which slang word annoys you the most?

Yeah...
I decided this, because I just wondered which 'slang' word would annoy you the most if you hear it... e.g. people saying 'mandem' is just annoying (imo)
Also - by slang, I don't mean "text language" at all - so 'LOL' wouldn't be counted as slang (in this thread).
The one that annoys me most is probably 'init' . I have raged at so many people who have said 'init', it's just such an incredibly horrible word (imo) XL
So yeah... which one annoys you the most?
* I haven't said which 'chavvy word' annoys you the most - because that's too derogatory to people who use slang.
i don't mind init, i use it. serves a purpose. in birmingham a lot of people say "bab" which really gets on my nerves. OW AM YA BAB.

Don't know, most of them really, though some slang is hilarious. I heard a young black gentlemen the other day say to his compadre in an alarmed manner "That's shower, bruv!" meaning "That's preposterous, brother!" I think. Unless they were actually talking about showers. Which I doubt. Oh and cockney slang is ace.

"Neek" I believe the term is, quite honestly the worst word in the world by my book.

I can't stand when people say 'bare' for a lot, or very...
Like, It was 'bare' good.
It's just like, what's the point...
I know this is slightly different, but I can not, STAND, when people say 'lackie band' instead of Elastic. It actually drives me crazy, not gonna lie.

They all annoy me, half the time I haven't got a clue what people are trying to say!! In the time I spend trying to decipher what the word means I probably could have been halfway through the conversation!
A new one that's come up is 'allow it', what am I supposed to be allowing?!?:S

YES YES YES! "allow it" really annoys me, what a stupid word. Erm others? Pretty much all of them but I think "bare" is just a horrible word to hear when not used in the right context for some reason.
