I want to buy some Solo's and seeing as I will buy them on a monthly payment I was wondering if these are good for the price of them

i got the red ones for £119 a few months ago, so that's well pricey. even though littlewoods have a monthly plan, they add some extra £££ to the price to compensate for it. so no, they're not good for the price imo.

*waits for posts from others saying that you can get better headphones for cheaper, name drop a few others and say that the sound quality on the beats are poor*

edit; ohh...that is actually their rrp price...i'd personally wait for the sales lol. kinda contradicting myself somewhere but ahwell.

That is the price I will be paying £169.99, I think thats not to bad, it's about £30 more then the shops sale price, but I think it's worth it seeing as I am paying monthly.

well if you're willing to pay that price then go right ahead. i think they're awesome tbf. sure, you can get other headphones that are better for the price, i love my beats so i couldn't give a **** lol. i'd check on argos, comet etc. as some of them do pay monthly/pay next year offers i think. they're £149 on argos, so it may be worth checking out if they do pay monthly.

Can someone explain the fuss over these headphones? As I've seen a few kids with them in college,

Tempted to buy, I've always bought Skullcandy just because of comfort and the sounds okay.

But whats the difference from my Skullcandy Lowrider ones, LOL

well, i personally think the best way to describe them is that they're the iPhones and superdry hoodies/jackets of the headphone market. so they're good for what they are/do, 'stylish' (hate that word, lol), comfortable but you can get better ones on the market for less.

oh i don't know any 'better ones' (lol, i know). just that the majority of people who comment on my beats say that i can find ones better, and for less. posted a thread on ere a few months ago aswell and received the same responses.

Skullcandy is ****.

Get some Sennheiser ones.

Sennheiser is way to over rated, I have had many and they break, I have purchased the above beats, they arrive within 10 days. I will post a review on them when they arrive if you want to iBlueBox. I have also had the Dre Tours and they are very very good for a in-ear pair of headphones, well worth the £130 I paid. Unfortunately I broke them, was my own fault though :P

I honestly don't understand why anyone would spend £100 on some headphones that *look* good instead of spending it on headphones that *sound* good...

This works both ways.

That is true, personally to me, these sound great, but that is because I have no actually heard a better pair.

Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality between these and say, a pair of iPod earphone (I know there is, but is it significant.)

Have you bought these yet? Do not buy these. Seriously. Buy the HD one's, because the Solo normal ones snap, just like mine after 2 months. Youtube it, loads of people have had it happened and Monster wont replace mine. The HD's are £20 more I believe but they have the glossy headband which stops it snapping.

:( It's such a shame because they look and sound so good, but the durability is pathetic. Did you get a refund from Monster? I couldn't find my serial number so they wouldn't accept mine.

Dude's not even a real doctor.

OT: Dres are terrible, go with a proper music brand rather than the one which spends most of it's budget on marketing.

This. If you spend £10 on sennheisers you can't expect to beat dre's at £150 no matter how bad value for money they are.

I spent £50 on my I think, quite some time ago though. Hmm, I still don't quite know wether to get the bigger dre beats when I get paid. HMV have 20% off all Dre Beats.

Do not spend all that money and get the Studios, I would now personally go for a different brand, after hearing different headphones to dres I was like wow there are better ones out there.

I'm laughing furiously at everyone saying beats are good. I have tried them, along with many many headphones, and unless you're listening almost exclusively to music by dr. dre, you're in for disappointment.

Unless of course you don't know what good headphones sound like. Kind of like comparing aldi's own brand battenberg to Mr. Kipling, it just doesn't compare.

Back to Dota 2 with me.

That really doesn't make sense, just because Dr. Dre branded the headphones, your saying only HIS music sound good on them? You need your ears tested. I don't care what anyone says, they are good headphones. Just way overpriced.

I will not lie, for the price, they are terrible, if they were lowered £50 less, then maybe they will be worth it.

Just bought a pair of tours and sennheiser cx300II off my mate. Both great pairs of earphones, by far the best earphones I've ever owned. Cost £20 in total. And yes, they are genuine.
