Ok,

So I was just in trade city - and I was typing quite quick (as I always do) and ended up flooding 3 times... which never usually happens for me :S So anyway, the first flood was 30 sec long, 2nd was 60 sec. long , 3rd was 120 sec. long and 4th was 180 sec.

I wasn't deliberate spamming or anything, I was having a conversation and obviously typed a bit too fast ;(

Anyway, what do you lot think of the flood times? I'm fairly sure the maximum flood time is 300 second (5 mins) but the most I've seen someone get is 240 seconds. Do you think that it's a bit too long or maybe they should be longer? :L

I think going past 180 is quite ridiculous in my opinion. Even the 30 seconds flood annoys a lot of people who are impatient so I wouldn't see the need to go all the way to 240 / 300 xL

Ofc, I'm not raging. In most cases - people are spamming, I just wasn't at this time and ofc they can't determine between spamming and typing too fast :L

But yeah, what do you think about the flood lengths?

I think they are fine, 5 minutes is good is you are flooding.

Flooding can get really annoying for those around you if they're not involved in the conversation so I think doubling the period of time you have a typing ban on the client is a great idea. I'm sure you would get the message after a few that you're clearly typing too fast and then just stop the speed pace you're going at.

I find this so annoying i always get 30 seconds etc...i cant help typing fast and not all the sentence on one line:S i understand how they've made you suffer more time to not talk because they just want you to stop spamming but i seriously cant help it and don't intend on flooding the room at all:S

I like the flooding lengths. Of course I don't ever get it (I usually type the whole thing on one line) so I've never seen it go past 30 seconds. I think if you keep on getting it you should just slow down a little bit.
Even if you just wait 1 second before pressing enter on a new line it's not like the person you're talking to is going to be impatient if you're typing 1 second slower, it's more likely they'll get impatient if they need to wait 300 seconds before carrying on a conversation :P

i definitely think they've introduced a lower limit for the flooding timeouts, because the last two days i KEEP flooding. i mean yeah sometimes i do flood, but not as much as the last two days. it's a little extreme if you ask me, because i'm usually just talking, i'm not doing anything out of the ordinary.
