I am thinking about asking the docter could I have some occupational therapy however, I want to know if it's worth it. Things have been becoming worse over the years with my dyspraxia and aspergers. I feel like at the minute, they are both ruling my life. I feel like an outcast all the time and often wonder what is it like to be normal. I can't even vounteer at the hoseriding stables I ride at because my aspergers is getting me into trouble. The dyspraxia makes undoing buttons, opening bottles of water ect.. frustratingly difficult. I thought I was managing fine but the older I become, the more I feel alone.

I understand how you feel, go to the therapy, you will find out if its frustrating or enjoyable.
i undoing buttons and opening bottles of water are frustrating to me when im tired and so im cranky, and i cry a bit then fall asleep. ;p
i feel embarrased if i dont fall asleep even if im by myself..
but still.. ;p

Going to see your doctor is the best thing, GP's might be a bit intimidating, but they are really good!

I went to see my doctor about my psychosis, and I was referred onto a support worker who helped me with my issues. The same thing will probably happen to you, obviously a different type but therapists really do help. They have changed my opinions on stuff and made me realize that im not alone, which brings rewards with it

It is worth it.

i definitely think you would find some counselling beneficial and perhaps a social group with likeminded people, so you could see that yr not an 'outcast' and that yr not alone. yr parents/carers could perhaps attend some of these groups too to help assist you feel better about yrself.

my sister is autistic and i know these groups exist as we've been invited to them, so pop down yr GP and they will help you. also, i'd say the sooner you go the easier it is.

Okay. I realy don't wanna have counselling. I already have a psychiatrist who does alot of question asking. Anyway, My docter said he'd look around to see if he can get me a occupational threapist.
