Has any of you actually ever had a 'Fish Pedicure'?

For those who don't know what they are 1) You obviously haven't had one. 2) They're where you put your feet into a box of water with fish swimming around in it and it's meant to be really good for your skin? :S

I've only even seen 2 places where you can actually have it done (there's obviously a lot more than 2 places) and it just made me cringe when I saw it xL

I don't ever plan on having a 'fish pedicure' but have any of you lot ever had one? :L

My friend tried to convince me, I sat down and put one foot in the water but got so freaked out I ran away! It's like a permanent feature in the mall near me now.

They;re meant to be really good at exfoliating but it's just disgusting thinking about slimy fish round your feet... *shudders*

I've had it done, my cousin owns a salon in which she has her own tanks. I done it for about an hour.

To start off with it feels so tickly. You can feel them nibbling and it's disconcerting!
Then after about five minutes it feels absolutely normal. nice and relaxing and it's quite nice tbh.

I haven't had one either - I quite fancy one though sound's quite interesting! However I sort of got put off when recent news had been released that the fish spread diseases!!! :)

Apparently they can spread HIV and hepatitis C, although there is a very lo chace of it happening. Also some spas deprive the fish of food, so they nibble at peoples feet more which is horrible. But I've always wanted to try it, but after the recent news and stuff I'm kinda put off

I stuck my finger in, all holding on for dear life even as you pull your finger out of the water.

They have one in the hairdressers I go to and apparently it's really hard to keep the fish alive and they die really quickly. Don't like the idea at all to be honest, seems a bit disgusting to have them all biting at your feet :P

It's disgusting and hasn't actually been approved.

should be banned, it's really cruel to the fish and im sure they can probably invent some kind of tool that does the exact samethingto save these poor creatures lives

There was a really popular one in my town but when the story about the fish spreading diseases was published they appeared in the local paper to say they were having to permanently shut because there'd been such a huge drop in customers since the story was published. They've got a notice on their shutters explaining everything now x]

oh god I think it's tacky and gimmicky and vile

I would never do it because I think it's horrible for the fish and I hate feet with all my heart and cannot stand the thought of putting my feet in water that they probably don't change after a treatment so I'm sharing ******* minging water with other peoples feet being nibbled by vile creatures. Do not want.
