kk this again

after my exams im gna buy an xbox 360

but i need to decide 4gb or 250gb

I only plan on using it for on xbox live (CoD, GoW and **** like that)

So basically, would 4GB be able to hold a few map packs? (also afaik you can use a pen drive to store info?, i got a few 8/16gb flash drives sitting about that I could use if required)

So you reckon 4GB + flash drive would be fine for cod map packs?

Chances are i'll get bored of xbox after a bit so want to spend as little as possible.

I would got with the 250gb, even thought you only plan to play COD. You might decided to download some arcade games or play other games later on. So it would be better to have more space even if you don't need it so that if you do need it you will already have and wont have to go out and purchase another hard drive.

I won't play any arcane games, sole purpose of getting the xbox is to play people on xbox live

4GB really isn't enough IMO.

I would just go with the 250GB to be safe.

How much is each map pack?

and can a USB Flash drive be used to store data

i have a 4gb and tbf i've managed to get a fair few things on there already but i don't think you'd be able to get many map packs on there.

I've actually no idea if you can use USB. I'm pretty sure that only USB drives made for the xbox work anyway (however I'm probably wrong :P)

The map packs for black ops ranged from about 1GB to 1.5GB I think, and considering that there's a lot of map packs planned for MW3 (I believe), I think that a 4GB xbox isn't enough.

I would simply advise you to go with the 250gb. Or buy the 4gb and grab a Western Digital laptop harddrive and jam it into your xbox.

Is that the xbox of hard drive?

I've exchanged my harddrive for a wmd fat n chunky one but its done the job much better than the fashion model one LMAO

For xbox's i'd advise you get a 250 one to, because I tend to always think I wont do something then I do, like you'll probably download a fair few beta's

I won't download betas :p

The only reason i'll be on xbox is for playing 2 player and online.

Everything else i'll be playing on PC basically

There's not much point getting the 4GB one unless you're really strapped for cash.

It's more of the fact i'll most likely get bored of it within a month so didn't see point spending extra 60 or whatever if 4GB would suffice.

I'd defo go for the 250gb, whilst you could possibly fit all the map packs onto 4GB for one game, it'd become a pain to remove and reinstall them whenever you change the game you're playing.

250GB > 4GB 1 game download is usually 4.. Halo + GOW2 = Like 9 together.

theres only 9 map packs for elite as elite is meant to give an update every month

there'll only be like 2-3 proper map packs i'd imagine.

halo and gow2 are ****, gow3 is ok and mw3 is only game i'd be playing most likely.

On my 4gb without any other memory I've got a COD Map Pack, 2 game demos and about 4 arcade games, so its pretty good, 4 will do IMO. also, a maximum of 16gb of external memory is allowed.

i would defo go for 250gb as its alot better if you get the game and install it onto your hard drive. This makes it sound alot quieter and run much faster when the disk is in. Also if your disk gets scrached (drunk times) it should still work perfectly when installed but it needs about 7gb to install it.

When you get it tell me so I can add ye ;)

got 2 xbox 360 first editions (one out in like 2005) but one constantly freezes, other ones fine so the 60GB HDD will be staying in that :P

I've seen in an interview that its 9 being released, 1 each month. and that buying elite means you get it free, there tempting people to sign up to elite. but we will soon see, as they seem to change there mind alot.

Infinity ward said no last stand... but oh look its still there.
