View Full Version : Don't you think habbo has gone down hill

Just my opinion, I think habbo has gone down hill loads, and im pretty sure its gonna loose a lot of costomers, the competitions are boring, the badges are just recoloured of older badges, or just one little tweak added onto them, not all of the badges but yeh most of them. And just the general updates what no one likes?

Yea definitely. I think its been going down hill since the introduction of beta. I really hate the look of the hotel now. Specially the infostand, and all the clutter in the right hand of the screen such as quests and event notifications. I think things were at their worst with smooth criminal, fozzie and puffin because they were just releasing a whole string of bad updates. I do think things have started to improve slightly since Kitano has came though but we shall see.

Yes I agree with you and just like Kirst said, there's hope with the new staff :)

Although you may be correct, but despite all these brutal updates.. changes.. and so on, people still continue to play the game. I for one may dislike some changes, but I do still love Habbo and play it.

I totally agree, the updates are horrid! They don't listen to what we want yet they all know we come crawling back regardless

I think it's gone down too however they just won't lose customers and will continue to profit. This is because say in every 10 people leaving, 100 probably sign up. It's just that fraction outweighing so much because as the years go on more and more young people get sucked into the internet.

I think it's been improving. My teacher was on about something the other day about changes around the school and how people rebel to them as they are too sudden, but for the better. It's kinda the same for Habbo, people dislike the changes just because they are use to the old system so they rebel against it. Also I agree with [@]@Shaz[/@] and her statement about the 10 leaving 100 signing up.

I think it did go downhill but now it's slowly improving. I don't know, I still prefer old Habbo! :P

Thats not the case at all. Fair enough some people react badly to change and can grow to like some of the updates. I don't mind the font now but disliked it at the time. But I have had plenty of time to adjust now from things like the infostand and I still hate it and want it gone. Also taking away things like bb and ss and replacing with crappy furni remakes could never be for the better.

Is it only me who is not having these 'spaces between words' error?

Anyway, I only joined in Jan. 2009 - and it was ok-ish then... then beta arrived and Lostie left -cry cry- and the new managers did literally **** all for the hotel. I never saw SmoothCriminal on the hotel :S

Some of the updates have been good - e.g. Wired and bigger choice of pets, but some are absolutely awful. E.g. This friend bar... cannot stand it x_X

OMG And when they removed the 'give rights to room' or whatever button. D:

Yes, and this is one of the reasons i stopped playing it last summer.

Ever since the merge, exchange tax and marketplace habbo has become extremely unfun to play.

Everybody hates the new Habbo.

People left since the merge and the tax and marketplace of Habbo.

I really miss the old Habbo :(

the reason for people crawling back despite the 'horrible' updates is due to the fact that the genius purpose of habbo is still there. a place for you to chat with friends and just relax and do things if youre bored. you were able to do it back when it was slick and more laid back(2006ish) and you can still do it now despite the updates. FYI: i am a supporter of the old habbo.

I preferred Habbo before the merge, but you can't expect them to not make any updates or "improvements" throughout time.

Aim of having Habbo in 2006:
To provide entertainment for teenagers when they are surfing the Internet

Aim of having Habbo in 2011:
To earn more money through the online game

Aim of having Habbo in 2016:
HEY! IT LOOKS LIKE FACEBOOK! ALL OF YOU SHOULD STOP PLAYING FACEBOOK AND PLAY HABBO INSTEAD!

Which hotel are you from?

Anyway, SmoothCriminal never came on the hotel and never hosted a 'solo' competition/event, when they announced he had "Resigned" I saw that his Habbo account hadn't been used for over 50 days . Same with fozzie tbqh, but she dealt with YAP so she did something.

And if they were 'better' than lostie and Buch06 and Ludus, is personal opinion - well, I hated ludus tbh. but I thought lost_witness was a fine hotel manager :S

Kitano, Neja and Puffin are quite good - not as **** as the last lot.

What are you talking about? Fozzie and Puffin were especially active in the hotel. Fozzie used to host YAP events and Australian Campaigns like Generator Rex. WTFriday was good too! And also, about SmoothCriminal, He was involved with Stray Pixels. He had not logged in for 50 days because he had resigned 50 days earlier before the news came to us :s

i think it's the cool opinion to have if you dislike 'new' habbo. the only thing i dislike is the lag. it's 100x time better than the look of it when i used to play, the only thing that is different are the people i play habbo with. sure i miss when furni prices were different and all this stuff, but it's aesthetically better, it doesn't go down as much, it never errors on me, nowhere near as many people are being hacked.

I remember the habbo of the week days and when we had Cresthawk as the hotel manager. I remember habbowood from 2007, it was pretty wicked stuff. I still got an account with the original non-hc black and red on there.

agreed kirsty you speak wise words. .

EVER SINCE NO BATTLEBALL OR SNOWSTORM its just gone downhill. . LOADSSSS of people left and thats prob why they joined all hotels. . whichmade things worse as comps just show same people over and over again URGH habbo you drive me mad :( :(

Rare values also have fallen and nothing is worth anything any more since marketplace which is crap aswell (good for people who want to get rid of crap)

also having to apay an extra credit for coins big stupid idea. . .

Oops, I wonder how I forgot about Puffin o.O

Although they may have hosted a few events, they still weren't fantastic managers - the hotel went pretty 'downhill' when they were managers. Whether it's Sulake's fault for being money-obsessed or just the managers just not gaining many ideas from Habbo users (exc. uservoice... I think that was introduced when they were around? :S) is prob. the real question in this situation.

Tbh, it is probably Sulake's fault more considering they ******* up a lot of Habbo...

K, we shouldn't really be saying managers are **** thinking about it... because it's not their fault that they had 'restricted powers'. They don't even get a say in new updates ;L

-----

And also, I never saw SmoothCriminal or Fozzie on the hotel after the merge, Puffin has only recently become 'more active'.

habbo pre-v9 was the best, so simplistic x

i think it comes with age tho. i used to play habbo when i was like 12 and it was the best thing ever to me, but now i'm nearly 19 and it just doesn't compare. there is a certain nostalgia x

Hopeless

Thing is they're still making so much. I am convinced they have lost users though. On old UK it wouldn't be uncommon to see 10-15K users online at once. Now we get around 6-10K. The big difference is though there are constantly this many online whereas on old UK hotel would be dead at 5AM for example. I do think they've lost users though. When they say they have ___ new visitors, they don't include the people that have left.

I played Habbo pretty religiously from 2002 - 2006. I used to really enjoy it, especially towards the end. Having been away for so long it's hard for me to judge. One thing I disliked about it back then was the stupid cliques that seemed to be around. The whole hotel was just full of brown nosing just to get popular, and that's not what I should be about in my opinion. I don't know if it's the same anymore :P
