Can you sleep on christmas eve?

I was having this discussion with my mates the other day at school so I thought I might as well have the discussion here as well. So, can you sleep on christmas eve?

To be honest, I can't sleep because I am far to excited for opening my presents the next morning.

I find it extremely hard to fall asleep on Christmas Eve and I thought I would have grew out of it with me not believing in Santa as much as I would have done when I was younger. I think last year I only got a few hours sleep and then woke straight back up and was waiting for hours for everyone to be awake. I'm definitely a big kid when it comes to Christmas, I get so excited. I was actually talking to a few people at school about this and I was the only one who had this problem. :(

Used to be a problem since I would get too excited etc, but as you get older it becomes easier to sleep I guess. Well it did for me anyway. :P

I can fall asleep in an earthquake. Honestly once the "magic" went in 2007ish (I don't mean I only found out of the man not being real, but christmas losing its value in my eyes due to some personal reasons which I will probably never get excited for christmas until later in life if I have a family n ****) I've been able to sleep like any other day.

No, I never can sleep on Christmas Eve ,because of the excitement of you'll be getting new stuff in the morning. I usually just stay on the internet till like 2am, till I go to bed and i'lld find it hard to sleep i'll eventually fall asleep and then in the morning my 11 year old sister will try to wake me up, and i'm like why? and then I remember its christmas.

As a kid I did because I was so excited. haha but yea I don't really find christmas that out of the ordinary anymore :(

I find it extremly hard to get to fall asleep on Christmas Eve. :P And when I do, I usually wake up soon after.

i'm a ver big kid when it comes down to christmas so falling asleep is hard, i usually don't sleep until about 4-5 :p

When I was younger I couldn't, now I'm older I find it really easy and am more excited about Christmas dinner and seeing relatives tbh.

and i can sleep most times. . but i always wake up a few hours later and then just get up cause its like AHHHHHH haha ;) well i wake my sisters up cause they ask me every year to get them up cause they are all excited haha its quite nice to watch them :)

I can kina sleep but ill sit up on the computer. Because i have a little brother he believes in santa so my parents stay up late and all that then i get told to go to bed then when i do i can sleep kinda sleep , A bit restless but ya know ;)

Eventually, yes. It's getting up that I have trouble with. I absolutely adore Christmas, but every Christmas Eve I get about two hours sleep, if that. If I'm at my mums I'm lucky to get any, as everyone tends to get up at about 6am. I have so much trouble getting up any time before 9am.

I can get some amount of sleep but I do still find it hard to sleep even though I'm now older. Christmas is a great time of the year!

I can sleep no problem, but maybe that's because I'm 21 and have no real need for presents anymore.

Maybe i'll sleep late or something. I never get too excited and can't go to bed during christmas eve. :P Everything is normal.

I've always slept well since I was about 16 I think. It depends what is happening at Christmas that year. If my whole family is here I get restless and excited, because my cousin embodies the spirit of Christmas and sets a good atmosphere of pure excitement. If it's quiet I just sleep and wake up early.

For me, I still find it a little hard to sleep. I usually get up extremely early no matter what time I go to sleep, mainly because my body clock is just used to waking up at about 8/9 every Christmas.

Yeah, I can normally sleep just fine, I guess I am just gifted that way :)
