After running a MemTest I found out that my memory is nackered. Anyway, don't know a lot about it so my current RAM is this:

I realise that it's DDR3, but don't understand anything about the PC3-10666 part. I'm going to buy some new memory tomorrow so what do I buy? Any DDR3 RAM or does it have to be PC3-10666 like these ones? I'm also planning on sending these ones off and getting them replaced with new ones (so they will be the same model) so I can double my memory as I've been meaning to for a while, so can I run two seperate brands of memory (four sticks, 2 of each) and it will work?

Wow... I wouldrecommendthis website,http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/it scans your systme and gives you more info and where tobuyit! I upgraded 11GB of RAM for like £100. (you will have to download a small file, but its fast and virus free!) :)

Thanks for that, but unfortunately I can't use the computer as the RAM is causing it to freeze before I can even do anything, so I'm on another computer at the minute and cannot run the scan on the computer :(

Thanks though!

Ignore the 10666 bit, that's the speed of the RAM, the higher the better but in your situation it won't make any difference.

Great, thanks.

Would it be ok to say run two sticks of Corsair RAM alongside the RAM I already have or is it best not to mix them?

You shouldn't really mix them in terms of performance, but there's no harm in it.

So I can go and buy just about any stick of DDR3 RAM?
