Yeah well I know its possible to appear offline (preferences > online status > appear offline)

But is it possible to permanently appear offline?

Using the above method when I turn the xbox off and on, it'll reset it so I'm appear online again.

I'd like to permanently appear off not have to redo it everytime I turn it on.

I'm 90% sure you used to be able to before the last big dashboard update. The only thing I can think of is turn off the option to automatically sign in when you switch your xbox on, and then switch to appear offline, and then sign in, and you'll sign in as appear offline, bit of a faff but it gets the job done

it does work because i have a friend and he appears offline 24/7 lol says he hasn't logged in in months haha. . but i never knew how he did it

I can't find anything on xbox.com and the only one i see on xbox dashboard/settings is that one which resets when you turn xbox off.

There should be a privacy setting on Xbox.com I think you can assign it to show offline to people who aren't on your friends list (I do this so people don't join my session, stupid fanboys from YouTube) and I think there's an option to permanently appear offline which I think ChavBrenFox has done.

Online Status - Decide who can see this profile's online status. Online status includes current online activity, like what's being played now and availability to play.

Set that to blocked so lets hope it doesn't reset everytime I turn xbox on

It is possible, my friend does it. he's on facebook messaging me telling me to join him and I'm like your offline and hes like no I'm not.

He doesn't know how to change it back to online :L
