Soo hey guys. I haven't been on in a month or so, however have it a problem so need to ask a question haha

Basically I needed a new router so ordered a Linksys E500. I picked this router by looking at what people had put forward as 2011's best routers. Sadly I forgot that it needed to have a DSL cable input, not cable. So I have needed to return the router, and am now looking for another one.

Preferably I would like Linksys - but only if it is of a good quality. I need to be able to open my NAT with it for gaming purposes, something which my trusty BT HomeHub failed to do (despite literally changing every setting possible that should have done it..). A decent wireless range is also essential.

Maximum spend: £49.99
Preferably: Linksys
Retailer: MUST be Amazon
Can be other makes, but only if it will easily do what I require it to do.

I will +Rep you for helping at some point, however will not be logging on again (probably..) until CES 2012. Assuming I don't, merry christmas :)

Do you have ADSL or Cable? There isn't such thing as DSL Cable :P

If on ADSL, I highly recommend an ASUS router that you can install DD-WRT custom firmware on.

Er you asked a question :L

I meant as in the input is for DSL (ADSL2 or whatever it is), but the cable (as in the cable or wire) needs to not be for 'cable' as in Virgin Broadband.

Thanks Tom.
