At my church someone different writes the script and then directs it for the nativity, where all the little kids perform a cute roleplay. 2 years ago I was given the honour of writing and directing it (yeah I'm allowing myself bragging rights, what of it?) and personally I feel it went rather well. I'm actually directing it again this year as the person who was in charge couldn't do it, but there's a problem! I want to make the play quite modern, and that means I don't want everyone to doze off in the first 15 seconds! So your job is to write the first line the narrator may say in the play, ensuring it's relevant, engaging and modern. It might be good to include some humour too providing it's appropriate! Good luck!

Welcome to our play about teenage pregnancy; We aren't promoting abstinence, we're doing the nativity!

It was Christmas Eve and everyone was raving, Keiran walked in and stopped in his footsteps ... he realized his drink had been spiked and collapsed!

two thousand and eleven, december, the 25th night,
not an xbox, an iphone or a blu-ray in sight.
perhaps we should flip time back to where this all began,
but lets put a h.d effect on this yarn to be span.
