I've been hearing mixed reviews from Android App Killer programs.

Some say that Android can now auto kill tasks, and that actually app killer programs are dangerous and can kill the wrong thing and claim that they can make programs slower at loading.

However some including phone shops will still recommend using one.

Anyone know if its good? I have a Samsung S2 but having to charge it daily at the moment which appears to be common but seeing if he can lower it a bit

Don't use one, Android knows when to kill apps and if you really want to force close one you can do in Settings.

If you want to improve battery life, stop applications auto starting on boot, checking for notifications as regularly, turn off GPS when not in use etc.

I personally dont use one either, Android knows when to kill apps, plus if you dont click Home keep pressing Back until you get out the app, the closes it too.

I was just speaking to Tom about this very topic.

He's convinced me to stay away from a full on task management application, but I have downloaded juice defender, because it turns wifi off automatically for me throughout the night.

Ah think I'll just stick to not using it. I think android however should try letting phone shops at least main ones know the problems
