Habbo have posted up a new page saying that only ONE new item will be released in the catalouge for ONE hour only!

It will either be the Disco Sign, the Gold Record or the decks!

Perhaps Habbo have realised they can't just wreck the trading system more than they already have, by releasing a super rare?

Hmm, sulake don't care about the trading values or w/e, as the original rares floating around will only bring them so much money, from people buying creds to get rich enough to trade for them. But by realising them they will get the cash quickly, aswell as the people buying creds to be able to be rich enough to trade for them in the weeks after. It's actually quite a good buisness stratergy.

I don't know the whole situation with the Canadian hotel but I am just going to assume that they did or will release the disco sign there because I am too lazy to sign in and find out. The Canadian hotel received the Dino and I hope that The Disco is or was released on .ca and that in turn would suggest that .UK will receive the DJ deck. I am almost certain it will be the Deck because the value has shot down to such a low point that even if it wasn't released the value of it has already been severely affected and that would make it much easier for Habbo to drop the bomb while we are already gasping for air.[ The damage is done, all that's left is to turn the knife ]

The Deck will probably come and my estimation is that upon release it will trade for around 5-7 hc sofas and then decline to around 2-4 hc sofas in the following weeks. If the DJ deck is released the value is very unlikely to rise within at least the first year and chances are that if it ever does begin to rise in value the amount would be very small and very prolonged. They will sell thousands of them in that hour and it's easy to say that based on the fact they will initally trade for at least 5 hcs but most likely a little bit higher. Who can pass up a deal of 5-8 hcs worth of rares for a 25 credit catalogue purchase. We're DOOMED :D


As far as I am concerned, DJ decks were never super rares. They were an unreleased impact rare designed to create a "Hype" and instigate a generous amount of income for the company. No member of staff ever publicly stated the DJ deck was a super rare and that it would be one forever. These days, nothing is super rare, everything is just unreleased furni. There has been alot of speculation and many rumours that in time all supers will be downgraded into regular rares to allow for a new line of super rares to enter the hotel. We are already seeing a few possible super rares with the entrance of the Smoke machine. other colours of dragons, etc,...

People call me a "N00b" when I give them my advice, which is usually " Supers will never again rise in price, they will consistenly decline, and anytime you see a super rise in price it's false information " It's a harsh thing for people to hear, but I firmly stand by that insight.

No customer of Habbo should be very excited over this, they put "3" of our items on the website and said it could be any of these. What they just did is cause a collapse of value on all 3 of those items amidst speculation that one of them will be released. What they have done is significantly instilled fear for the users who posess them and caused a loss of "worth", they should have just told us it was the deck so the disco didn't lose value as well.

Yeah, thats how it works out in these kind of situations. Alot of rich people lose on their overall "worth" which is a benefit to Habbo. Alot of new people increase their worth by spending alot of money on credits to buy one of the coolest rares at the lowest possible price. All rares that are only to be released for an hour create the necessary "hype" to get people buying loads of them. People who buy DJ decks will sell them for 8-15 times more than they would have gotten when they bought a pillow from the catalogue. New people spend alot on credits, Habbo gets rich, the rich lose on their overall "worth" and life goes on in Habbo.

Habbo will even make money off this post, because some users may read it and not have understood that when Habbo decides to release a rare for 1 hour only, the trade value of that item is automatically predicted to be quite high. I just hope they don't sell wayyyyyyyy too many of them because then there will be alot of problems.

The OP value dropped rapidly with only a slight suspicion about it being released, as have the Decks. If they are released, I can't see their value dropping any lower than 5 HCs. So pretty much everyone on Habbo will have a set (Exagerated estimate), but people who are unable to get on Habbo during the period of their release (AKA ME, WHO WILL BE IN FRIKKIN ITALY! :@) will be pretty desperate for some. I'd just wait a few weeks for their value to drop to a ridiculously low price.

Saying all this, I'd laugh if the record was re-released! :P

Good post, like you said the OP value dropped and so did the DJ deck upon speculation it was going to be released. The OP initally traded for around 8-10 hcs [ can't remember exactly :eusa_danc ] but it then began a decline and I'm sure it will slowly begin to rise again. What we have now, is a guaranteed time to be at the computer ready to buy, a super unique item that doesn't belong to a set of other colours and a full 1 hour of time in the catalogue. The value of the DJ deck should probably trade lower than the OP upon its initial release and should eventually sink beneath 3 hcs. It's really going to depend on how long it stays in the catalogue for [ Knowing UK habbo, they might take a nap and leave it in for a week ]and how many of them they sell in that amount of time in order to determine what low the DJ deck value will see.

It's not confirmed yet but if the disco happens to make an appearance instead, I for one would be mad that they put out the disco and even further damaged the value of the DJ deck by saying "maybe" the DJ deck will be released because thats totally playing with our heads. I'm totally not expecting the release of the disco and I am cheering for the Deck. These are my own personal odds [2:1 - DJ Deck ] [4:1 - Disco ] [ 16:1 Golden record ] As you can see the Golden record is the longshot.

I think it is going to be the Disco for a few reasons. One reason is it is a poster and all the other new posters came out accept for that one! I dont Think Habbo would release the Dj deck but they might, they did say the 1 item will be for sale for 1 HOUR ONLY so there is a chance it would be dj deck! But for the truth Sulake is trying to gain money so they probually will put dj decks in cataloge for 25 creds so that people will have to buy more creds!

I would really like the decks, but the DISCO! is definatley coming.

I highly doubt it will be the disco poster. I suspect we will receive that as a regular rare in a few months. There has been much hype over the release of the deck and right now it's perfect timing. If the DJ deck isn't released it would be a bad move on a financial level for Sulake. We are prepped for the DJ deck and it has lost so much value in the past 2 weeks so they might as well just destroy it now anyways.

The disco has been available for 5-6 credits on most hotels. If the disco comes I will be angry that they destroyed the value of the DJ deck by putting speculation on it's release. If all the extra DJ decks we are seeing around the hotel were made while someone was on housekeeping you can bet your life it will be the DJ deck that they decide to release.
