Judging by some of the people in this country being churned out of our useless schools i'd say one is already underway.

A more likely scenario is that a pandemic occurs and millions die before a vaccine can be cultivated never mind mass produced. Although vaccines can be produced much faster than they used to be able to.

Also it wouldn't happen anything like it does in the movies since everyone is genre savvy in real life rather than like in every movie ever where no one has ever heard of a zombie apocalypse.
