I know my school says they do a good job, but I feel they could do a lot better. Occasionally they hand out the melon slices and salads and fruit salads. But they always have plenty of the pizza, chips, cakes, chocolate sugary foods. We have curry days and fish and chip days, but I really do feel they could give a more variety of fruit!! I love a good old apple or some grapes!
They use to have a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine for us in the canteen but got rid of it. They now do slushies which taste horrible.
Does your school/college do a good job?
YES! You've found all the five items: planks, a hammer, a saw, bricks and now some cement! Phew, glad that's over. Quickly PM HabboxComps with all 5 URLs which contain items and you have a chance of winning one of the three top prizes. Quickly, don't be too slow!

not really, there is hardly anything healthy in our canteen area, there's a small bowl of fruit and sometimes salad haha, i normally just take my own fruit or go into town at dinner
not really, they have fish and chips every single day of the year..I wish they had nicer food so that I wouldn't always have to go out to get something to eat or entirely skip lunch when I don't have the time to go out.

I don't know to be honest, I never take notice. I normally have breakfast at college like a roll and sausage & a hot chocolate mmm.. and then go out to town for lunch.

no. they are not healthy. we had fried rice.. fried this fried that.
My school does nothing. They feed you hotdogs, muffins, hash browns and rubbish like that. The only reason i go there at lunch is to get an icecream or mocha. I take my own lunch xD Coz im a kewl kid innit

Colleges aren't really under any responsibility to promote healthy eating as anyone there is there by choice. My school however never promoted healthy eating, what it seemed like they did is just cut back on the portions of crap (pizza, chips) to try and make other things, like pasta and baked potato seem more appealing as it would be more worth it. They did seem to go mental during that healthy eating week though.
I do usually take my own lunch. I think our school are pretty good promoting healthy eating. They sell fruit, healthy sandwiches and all the other healthy stuff!! They only do chips on Fridays, other school meals are pretty good (I guess, I've never really looked into it much). They do sell pizza slices though and stuff, but owell. :P
well I remember all that healthy stuff got promoted and they took away all the fatty foods like muffins and crap. Then we only had chips 2 days a week when they would of had them everyday before. They brought in healthy drinks and water and they had a sanwich bar and had like a range of diff fruit, fruit salad cups etc.

My school is always trying to make people eat healthier, they don't sell chips or pizza and stuff like that anymore. They also have like a healthy eating week every so often where you can get like free fruit salad or something..

College sells all the nice crap, so no they don't promote it at all. School was different though, they weren't allowed to sell all the nice junk that they used to. :(
My school does pretty well with healthy eating, there's quite a range of different meals you can buy which are healthy. There's two different canteens, in one there's all of the hot meals, such as roast dinners and jacket potatoes and in the other there's things like sandwiches, chicken wraps, pasta pots and salads. I've never had a hot meal although I've tried the chicken wraps and the sandwiches which are both very nice.
I tend to bring my own stuff now though, it's effort queueing up when you can just go outside and eat your own. :P!
i dunno what's happened. when i started secondary school in 2002 (yeh i know old) we had all the sweets, crisps, pizza, chicken + chips in a box etc then 2003 came and EVERYTHING went. i mean everything, chips were replaced with homemade wedges. pop became like fizzy spring water with cola flavouring (vile), crisps were now snack a jacks, everything went and that stayed the whole time when i was at secondary school til like 2008. then i spoke to my friends little sister who goes there now and apparently everything is back, and it's worse than it was before i went there. they have vending machines, pizza everyday, it's maaaad.
my college never really did healthy eating. we had cadburys/pepsi vending machines throughout the performing arts block, the ice-cream van that came everyday during the summer and a little newsagent at the front which sold like everything a normal shop sold.

My secondry school got rid of burgers and cookies in 2007 and then changed cola to spring water, promoted sandwhiches and jacket potatoes and stuff.
They still did loads of chips and pizza slices, sausage rolls etc. We had a little shop outside so everyone just got the older kids to get stuff for us.
College have a shop that sells every unhealthy and the canteen has a stall that sells pastries and the actual college serve all the usual rubbish.
There's like 10 cola machines throughout the college as well.

My school, actually really does. We used to be with a private catering company, But since the new head teacher took over he decided to change all the menu because he wanted more fresh deliveries of food more often a week then the private company. We always have really nice healthy food now compered to what we used to have.
But our School is like located on a massive street with like 14 take aways/cafes so yay for us six formers who just go out for lunch.
