[+21] Local Minecraft Server

Hey,
I've set up a minecraft server that's hosted off my computer, all is fine and i can play with people when they're connected to my isp but when they try connect through theirs to my server it doesn't let them it says "Failed to connect to the server Connection timed out". Any ideas how i can fix this problem?

I've been trying to do that most of tonight but it fails as I need my router login and when i reset my modem it doesn't seem to want my thompson twg870 reset. Well that's a completely different question but **** it I'll just have to annoy them on the phone tomorrow, the joy..
