Why can't you -rep Cautioned users

Just wondering why we can't -rep cautioned users?

Because they are punished enough by being cautioned :rolleyes:. Isn't that why we give out -reps?

Must be something to do with the restrictions on the account while cautioned but I am sure someone techy on the management will be able to explain it. I can see your point here.

I'm pretty sure this is to do with it being classed as a banned group and therefore reputation and other features are disabled. Which would stop you issuing reputation to such members, I don't think there's a setting anywhere that would allow users to give reputation to cautioned members. I could be wrong though.

well it's sorta fair cause if they do make a good post then they're not able to get positive rep. if you really want to + or - that bad you could wait until the person is uncautioned then find the post...

I agree it would be nice for cautioned member to receive rep as they could still make some quality posts which deserve it.

I agree and I've changed it (hopefully) so that they can.

I believe that was a move that Hecktix made because a few people didn't like him and they were all cautioned at the time.
