View Full Version : [+REP] MSN Problems
Hello!
This has only started to happen today but on my MSN I can sign on fine, but a few minutes later it signs me off. I do the troubleshoot and the problem can't be fixed. The error code is 80072eff.
Can anyone help me on what to do next? I'm using Windows Live Messenger 2009.

Not just you, I'm having problems with it also. Seems like their service may be facing a few problems this evening!
MSN sucks. I haven't been able to sign on for a year and I have no idea why :'(

Seems some people are having problems with Xbox.com/Xbox Live also.

I have a funny feeling this may be affecting people who have internet with Virgin Media. But anyone else may just be fine?
was just about to say about virgin... apparently a tonne of us have just lost psn and Xbox live. not sure what's going on, Xbox support are pretty in the dark too and www.xbox.com doesn't load weird.....

Windows Live Messenger won't sign in
Xbox.com won't load but I've been told Xbox Live on the actual Xbox is fine (well in someones house anyway!)
Neowin.net won't load
Dafont loads but then if you go through some pages, it will then time out and no longer work
There's a thread on virgin media forums with a few people having similar issues.

live isn't working for me. keeps failing the Xbox live test, telling me that there's an Internet connection but it cannot connect to Xbox live. restarted all the modems etc. won't even connect to next doors unsecured net.

its a major, national routing issue.

Some images and stuff on WordPress aren't working either. The whole internet has broken.

Chances are they use VoIP, which would rely on their network to function.
Bit poor really, they must have pushed a bad configuration out or had a single point of failure.

Think it was a hardware failure due to the fact they had to send engineers to fix it.
You can see the LINX Server/Network thingy stopped pinging earlier, Looking at past reports, it seems like a really big DDoS, unlikely however.
Either way, It was a national routing failure.

Ahh that's interesting, I've not tried to get on any of the afore mentioned websites but there's been various ones I've tried this evening off Google results and there was an unusually high number of websites down (Which wasn't sorted by restarting the router) so this would be a plausible explanation :)
