Hi all,
I am considering getting a new laptop sometime this year, and i was wondering what kind of prices should i expect to pay for a decent gaming laptop?
Any links to sites or product suggestions are also very welcome.
Thanks!
Do not game on a laptop, it's just a waste of money unless you're going for an Alienware, majority of laptops only haveintegratedgraphics cards so you won't have a very fun gaming experience, who wants to play on low settings? :P

There's a reason i want a gaming laptop though. I'm in a boarding school so i rarely get to use desktops to play games. Also i travel a lot apart from that, so if i want any decent time to play pc games i'm going to need a laptop to do it.

I play games on my Lenovo ThinkPad E420s at Uni 'cus I can't be assed to take my desktop and it's fine.
What games were you thinking and what settings? Mine was £700 and it can just about play all the new stuff (havent tried BF3 though). So you're probably looking at like £900-£1000 for a real good one

They're fine I agree but the annoying things are spikes in FPS drops and such
[@]@Eion247[/@] What's your budget? MSI are doing gaming laptops with good graphics cards and such if you're willing to pay like over £900 lol or are you just looking for a fairly average laptop thatcanrun games? I've got the new Dell Inspiron it was about £450 I think, has decent RAM processor isn't great and it has integrated graphics but games are playable.

I'm looking for somewhere between 500£-700£ , Of course the more for less the better.
I heard alienware laptops are pretty good but a bit overpriced, anybody have any experience with these?

What kind of games are you thinking of playing? I doubt you'd be able to play many new ones with £500
Yes they're very, very good, but also overpriced. A lot of it is to do with the fancy stuff and the brand though. But you're looking at A LOT more than £700 if you want an alienware.

I'm looking to be able to play new games on decent settings (doesn't have to be high). I could possibly go even higher with my budget, but at the moment i'm just looking around to see what i should expect and for what prices.
