What do you guys think of this car? Starting price is $29,465 I personally think it's nice because I'm in love with the Range Rover so much and this is such a clone, they just tried to make it bigger with an Escalade feel. I'm not a big fan of Ford except for their Focus Zetec or RS their newer models, but I'd totally buy this car, dayuuuum.

It was a fail. It's been out since like 2008..

We had a company van which was replaced with the new Explorer,

I like the new Mondeo they look pretty beastly but the older models are so ugly :( same with the Focus haha

They've never sold the Flex in the UK simply because there is no market for it. That new one is the double of the Range Rover.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Fords. Whilst the mk2 Focus RS is great, you've got to remember all the old Fast Fords too; Escort/Sierra Cosworths, Fiesta XR2, Escort XR3, Sierra XR4, RS Turbo models and so on. Mk5 Fiesta Zetec S' are brilliant little cars too.

i don't see the appeal with 4x4 unless you're actually going to go off road. they're just pretentious and pointless.

So how would something like this be seen as "pretentious"?

... it's clear i'm talking about modern day 4x4s rolling down the m1, i didn't think i needed to be so specific since i just assumed people on here weren't stupid

I bought a Mercedes S-Class (S430 4Matic AWD) for $5500, it was a great car but my suspension light keeps coming on and going off - if it needs a new suspension system it's more expensive to fix the car then it's worth. I went to the euro dealer in the city and looked at trading it for a 2006 Jetta 2.0T, straight trade - my car for the Jetta and they were down. Mercedes are nice, but when they break they're an absolute ***** to fix. I'm probably going to trade it/sell it before something happens to it rather than it completely **** off and have to sell it for parts :(

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a 10 plate, and appears to be driving on what looks like a B road?

Yeah my dad had his Chrysler 300C written off after that he didn't buy a car, his business partner gave him a 04 E320 and the gear box has gone it shudders when it changes gears and it's so much to fix he thought **** it take the free car back lol

And bad on fuel.

I also hate it when you get people that can't drive them and think they own the road!

Isn't that a Lada? The Russians never were fantastic at building cars.

That's right, it's a Lada Niva which has been in production since the 70's and is still in production today. A company recently has been importing them over to this country brand new, hence why that one is a 10 plate. Christ knows why.

Clearly there's a market for it! Although like you say, god knows why. :P

Funny thing is the Niva is actually really good off-road and I can almost guarantee it's considerably better than most '4x4's out at the minute. The closest most Rangey's have ever been to being off road is parking on a grass verge outside Waitrose. The only new 4x4 I would buy would be the Defender, in true spirit of 'if it's not broken, don't fix it.'

I love range rovers, but I don't love this. It looks like a bad mix of range rover and mini countryman with that white roof
