Year 11's - your official last day?

To year 11s on here, what's your last day at school? Ours is 10th May, official last day even though we have to come back for exams. Just wondering if anyone is later because I heard some schools aren't allowing study leave:S

Some schools try to prevent it for as long as possible because they get counted as part of the non-attendance by student days which is bad for league tables or something.

Ours isn't till near the end of May - they delay it more and more each year it's annoying ._.

Apparently, next year, they won't be giving study leave to the year below us? Not sure this is true - I don't even know it's compulsory to have study leave XL.

Oh, they don't have an exact date for us. They decide like a week or 2 before ._.

Really, I never knew that? Seems to suck. We've got it earlier than last years by a few days. Maybe its cause they think people won't actually study on the study leave? But I will haha

We don't get told when our last day is until the last minute, haha.

I know that my prom is on the 6th July though, so it'll be a week before that or something. :P!

It's around May half term, then come back for some exams. My ball is the end of June I believe :)

LMAO... this is so true! :P My last day of Year 11 feels ages ago... I think it was late-ish May in 2010, but tbh I've forgotten because I was concentrating on the exams more than anything else! :P

My year wasn't allowed study leave, only the 'naughty' kids were allowed it. That was back in 2010.

When I finished (in 2010) they purposely waited until we broke up for the Spring Bank Holiday, 28th May!

Aw everyone is going mad on dresses etc! My friend has paid £275 for a dress and £500 for a pink limo, on my hand I'm buying a dress off ebay for £60 and £3 for travel in the school mini bus (what a way to go). I just don't see the point spending loads on a dress that I'll probs never wear again and for travel that isn't that long. Besides the fact I have to pay for everything myself lol

I left school in 2007, and my last day of year 11 was like the start of May i think? pretty much the same all over the UK

[@]@Jssy[/@] seriously? My dress cost £19 and I went to my prom in my parents car, someone at my prom rented one and it cost like £175 no point.

Update on my last day: We've been told ours is in the last week of May (they're trying to make us leave at nearly the latest point possible). Also, next year group (current year 10s) aren't getting study leave at our school. We got lucky ;)

I think all my exams are in june, I only really have science and english, oh and r.e so not too bad. And yep [@]@samanfa[/@] ordering my dress off ebay next week and paying my travel free, then I only have to buy extensions, tiara, bag and shoes :D

I'm not getting my suit until a few weeks before, there's no point in getting it early if you ask me.

I'm going in some sports car too which isn't too expensive considering we're only paying for the fuel. (between three).

Ah wow, we definitely found out today now (senior prefects know) and it starts the 1st June (later than everyone thought) apparently, so it's last day before study leave on 31st of May xP.

Quite late compared to most schools ;/

My last day (which is next year) Is when we break up for the summer holiday, 24th July (day before my birthday thank god!) as we aren't getting study leave :(
