This is the first android tablet i'm really considering to get, i'm now stuck between this and the ipad 3. It looks pretty amazing imo, especially for the price. The only reason i would choose an ipad over this would be the availibility of apps.
Anybody here have this tablet? What do you guys think of it?

Dad has the older version (the Transformer) and it's a very nice tablet.
I'd recommend the new version from what I've heard and played with about it.

The specifications are outstanding, and Android 4 is beautifully tailored for tablets. I've been using 4 for several days on my HP Touchpad now and for it's reason alone I would choose any modern Android tablet over the iPad with the one condition that said tablet has good battery life.

Wouldn't the lack of android tablet apps not put you off? I'm wondering this because this is the main thing holding me back from going android with tablets.

Going to have to wait until version 2 (probably), saving up my monies to help with the emigration to Australia.
By then there'll possibly be other companies one-upping this tablet.

The Transformer Prime is "version 2"! The first one was simply the Transformer :P
Looks very nice, you said it's a good tablet for the price, how much is it exactly? I can't see on the site lol.

Oh I'm aware of that :P
Though at CES which is a month since the release of the Prime, they've announced a new 'version' of it which has higher display resolution. They've also changed the back of the tablet as the current Prime has GPS issues.

They also pointed out that the tf201 will still be produced even when the tf700 comes out. The tf700 will simply be a slightly "upmarket version" with a hd screen and a slightly improved front camera. Not sure if having 100 added onto the price is worth it.

I bought one of these exactly the same a few days ago, they are outstanding tablets, very easy to use and have brilliant specs.
The graphics are very good and things like youtube are efficient and easy to use/load. I highlyrecommendit eoin <3

I would go with something from Apple. The App Store is brilliant.

The availibility of apps is the only thing ipads have going for them over android imo

I like the (I don't know the word) 'feminine' aesthetic that Apple products have.
