For the third year I'll be the one to make the thread for the biggest sporting event of the year, as the Giants take on the Patriots on February 5th in a SB rematch from 2007.Both teams were lucky last night as theybenefitedfrom mistakes by both the 49ers and the Ravens respectively to make it to the Super Bowl.
Discuss.

Surely the olympics are the biggest spoting event of the year. Also bare in mind that most users on this forum are not from America therefore do not watch the superbowl.

I think Giants will win, they're the underdogs, right?

Yeah, the Olympics and World Cup are far, far, far bigger. Obviously the latter isn't until 2014. Superbowl has a worldwide audience but only a small fragment are international compared to American viewers. Lest we forget American football isn't near the top of the list of the world's most popular sports.

I meant to say one-off sporting event of the year, was in a rush.
dbgtz - The last two SB's have attracted alot of attention in the threads I've made.

Are the Olympics and the World Cup every year? ******* idiots.
I'm glad the Giants won otherwise it'd be a ******* boring SB and I still reckon it will 'cos Brady will **** all over Manning.
Up the Giants, having a day of college for it :D!

Superb game, won by a TD the giants didn't want.
Can't believe how well Eli Manning played, as much as I dislike him, he bossed the game.
WOO GIANTS BOI, I HATE DA PATS
