okay i was looking at whos online and i was at the guest thing and there was someone called google spider. i was wondering what it is?

if you dont believe me look at the whos online thinger and look at the guests [might not be there]
oh and like.. every second its at a new thread?

I think it's a bot that helps make the forum more popular, so when you search stuff on Google Habboxforum will appear on it.

My mate had that on his forum, it counts as a guest I think, don't have a clue what it is though.

In my experiences of web design, you could "deploy" search spiders.
As far as I know, when a keyword is entered into the search bar the search spider will let the search engine know the site exists and show it as a found match.
I may be totally wrong, but that's always been my perception.

It's other name is GoogleBot. You can name them whatever you like .
ive had quite a few of them on my forum they're called googlebots there "/ what do they do.. they cant post...
The basically find threads/topics and put them on google so any phrases in that topic/thread appear on Google.

etc..
There just where somone searches the site from a search engine, it uses meta tags Threads Topics posts with any identical wording you have that you searched for
( Probberly just repeated what the above said ;p )

Yes. There is also a Yahoo! one and so on. Neat little things..
